(Clearwisdom.net) The July 23, 2005, edition of the Dominion Post, the largest newspaper in Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand, posted an article entitled "Silent Protest," covering the protest march of Falun Gong practitioners on July 22.
Practitioners march in Auckland
The report carried a picture of practitioners holding photos of practitioners who have been tortured to death. The report said that an 80-year-old practitioner from Hamilton was holding a photo of a woman who was tortured to death by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for her persistence in practicing Falun Gong. In the march, many held photos of other practitioners who had been tortured to death.
The report further stated that practitioners from New Zealand gathered in Wellington to protest the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. They also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. The practitioners believe that the practice can help people have healthy bodies and inner peace.
