(Clearwisdom.net) When news reached Norway that two female practitioners in Singapore had been jailed for spreading information about the six-year brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China, local practitioners wanted to help. So far, the Nordic Association has sent a letter to the Singapore Consulate in Oslo. Two practitioners went to the office of the consulate to express their concern and to deliver a letter from the Norwegian Association, together with information about Falun Gong and the persecution, information of the same kind that the accused women had spread in Singapore. They had a good conversation with a representative of the consulate who stayed after working hours to be informed.

The case is about the female practitioners Ng Chye Huay and Cheng Lu Jin and the unjust court case against them. They were sentenced for peacefully distributing information about the persecution of Falun Gong. Cheng was separated from her six-month-old daughter and both Cheng and Ng were on hunger strike because of the unjust trial.

It was pointed out to the Consulate that Falun Gong is a legal association in Singapore and that the practitioners did not do anything illegal by peacefully distributing the information material. The same material is actually distributed every day by practitioners all over the world to help end the brutal persecution in China.

It was further pointed out that according to both national laws and international conventions, ratified by Singapore, the women have the right to distribute this information. It is actually people's duty to expose violations of human rights such as those occurring against Falun Gong in China.

The practitioners mentioned that until this incident it was only in Communist China that people are punished for distributing material and revealing the facts about the persecution. There are court cases in several countries around the world against Jiang Zemin and his accomplices for their role in the persecution. They went on to say that the Swedish judiciary is now legally preparing for such court cases in Sweden, independent of where the crimes took place, and that the Norwegian Foreign Minister recently expressed his concern about the persecution of Falun Gong during a sitting of the Norwegian Parliament.

The practitioners said that Falun Gong, based on the values of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance, promotes a high moral standard and care for others. They also said that the persecution, which was initiated by the former leader of the Chinese Communist Party Jiang Zemin, has inflicted unimaginable suffering on many practitioners and that there is accurate information about more that 2,100 death cases due to the persecution.

The representative of the consulate listened with interest to the information and comprehended that China is pressing other governments to persecute Falun Gong. She will deliver the letter and information material to the Consul for him to raise this case with the authorities in Singapore.

Norwegian practitioners hope that Singapore, during the period before the persecution comes to an end, will not support the Chinese Communist Party, which is responsible for the persecution. The CCP faces mass withdrawals following the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" in the international newspaper The Epoch Times.

The people of China are beginning to see through the propaganda from the government. More and more of them refuse to persecute their fellow citizens, realizing that no persecution will last forever. It will be bad for Singapore's reputation to support the CCP and its persecution of Falun Gong. We hope that Singapore, by starting to support good values and human rights, will have a good future.
