Facts of the Persecution

1. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] 61-Year-Old Ms. Liang Sue has Been on a Hunger Strike in Jinan Women's Prison for More Than 40 Days

After the facts concerning the persecution of Ms. Liang Sue at the Jinan Women's Prison were exposed, authorities at the prison escalated their efforts to break Ms. Liang. It's recently come to light that she has been on a hunger strike for more than 40 days. During a family visit, Ms. Liang was seen steadying herself against the wall as she walked and looking very weak. Prison officials said, "If she doesn't give up Falun Dafa, she might be detained forever."

Ms. Liang Sue, Ms. Lu Xiufang, and Ms. Liang Mingfeng are all practitioners from Huashan Township, Jimo City. After Ms. Lu was tortured to death at the Jinan Women's Prison, to cover up their officers' crimes, the prison management severely persecuted Ms. Liang Sue and Ms. Liang Mingfeng because they knew what happened to Ms. Lu Xiufang. Police officers moved 61-year-old Ms. Liang Sue and 55-year-old Ms. Liang Mingfeng from the senior group to the youth group and forced them to work 20 hours a day.

2. [Shandong Province] The Enslavement of Practitioners at the Shandong Province Women's Forced Labor Camp

There are currently more than 140 practitioners detained at the Shandong Province Women's Forced Labor Camp. Camp officers force practitioners to work more than ten hours a day. Now the camp is manufacturing fabric toys for the Youcheng Fabric Factory in Zibo City, Shandong Province. Detained practitioners are deprived of almost all of their basic human rights. Officials at the camp use their hopes for family visits to coerce practitioners into performing the forced labor and giving up Falun Dafa. Determined practitioners are locked in isolated mini-cells, where they are beaten, shocked with electric batons, not allowed to wash or use the restroom, and subjected to sleep deprivation. Practitioner Yang Wenhua wasn't allowed sleep for more than three months.

3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] After Being Forced to Leave Home for Four Years, Ms. Zhang Guiyun was Abducted by Police Officers

Ms. Zhang Guiyun, 48 years old, is a family member of an employee of the 9th Oil Extraction Factory at Chuangyezhuang, Daqing City. In early May 2001, because she clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to people, she was chased by police officers and her home was searched. In order to escape persecution, she was forced to leave home for more than four years, suffering the hardships of homelessness. In the evening on December 9, 2004, when she went home to see her husband and daughter, police officers arrested her. The police interrogated and tortured her for two days and nights. They smoked eight packs of cigarettes, forcing her to breath the smoke as they held the lit cigarettes under her nose. Zhang Rongqing is a police officer from the Honggang District Police Brigade. He brutally kicked Ms. Zhang in the back and abdomen, causing extreme pain and bruising and making it very difficult for her to move. Ms. Zhang Guiyun has been detained at the Daqing Detention Center for more than four months.
