1. [Liuhe County, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Ping Arrested

Ms. Li Ping is from Liuhe County, Jilin Province. On the morning of March 6, a fellow practitioner asked Ms. Li if she had brought with her the latest Minghui Weekly [the Chinese edition of Clearwisdom.net]. Ms. Li's husband overheard the conversation and immediately turned them in to the Chenggaun Township Police Station. The officers ransacked their home and confiscated two tapes of the Falun Gong exercises, three copies of Minghui Weekly Issue No. 164, and 107 copies of truth-clarifying materials. Ms. Li Ping is being held at the Liuhe County Detention Center.

2. [Panzhihua, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Tingfu and Two Other Practitioners from Miyi County Arrested

On March 10, 2005, five officers from the Miyi County Police Department arrived at Salian Township and arrested Mr. Yang Tingfu and Ms. Lei Guiying. They were arrested because Mr. Chen Shenyou implicated them when the police arrested him for distributing truth-clarifying leaflets. During the interrogation, he gave Mr. Yang and Ms. Lei's names to the police. The police then ransacked the three homes and confiscated Falun Dafa books, truth-clarifying materials and tape recorders. The three practitioners are being held at the Miyi Detention Center.

3. [Xushui County, Hebei Province] Mr. Liang Yongfeng Safely Returns Home

Mr. Liang Yongfeng, 46, from Xushui County in Baoding City, Hebei Province, is an employee of the Environmental Institute affiliated with the county's Construction Bureau. On the evening of February 26, Mr. Liang was taken into custody at the Xushui County Detention Center. He went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and became very weak. He was released on March 10, as the leaders of the workplace were worried that his life was in danger. After three days of hospitalization, he returned home and subsequently resumed a normal work schedule.

4. [Beihai City, Guangxi] Mr. Shen Haoyu Arrested; His Home Ransacked

Mr. Shen Haoyu, 22, is from Beihai City, Guangxi Autonomous Region. He was unlawfully sentenced to eighteen months of forced labor in January 2002. After being released, he returned home and made a living by washing and cleaning squids with his mother. In September 2004, Mr. Shen enrolled in the professional program for adult continuing education offered over television in Beihai City. At the end of September, signs of "Falun Dafa is good" appeared near his home. Members of the 610 Office thought that Mr. Shen and his mother placed them. Together with officers from the Dianjian Police Station, they ransacked his home. In January 2005, a group of officers led by Wei Yujiang, leader of the 610 Office, arrested Mr. Shen while he was taking an exam at the continuing education school. Mr. Shen has been held at the city's No. 2 Detention Center. His mother has hired an attorney, but due to interference from the 610 Office, the attorney has not been able to meet with Mr. Shen.

5. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yang Jiedong and His Wife on Hunger Strike; They Demand His Mother's Release

Mr. Yang Jiedong and his wife Ms. Liu Chunhong from Wanzai Town in Zhuhai City went on a hunger strike in the morning of March 21 at the Wanzai Police Station. They demanded the immediate, unconditional release of Mr. Yang's mother Ms. Su Huiming, 60. Officers from the police station arrested Ms. Su for distributing truth-clarifying materials and sent her to the Guangdong Province Women's and Children's Education Center in Sanshui, Guangdong Province.

In 2001 the Zhuhai Police Department sentenced Mr. Yang to three years of forced labor. As a result of the severe torture he suffered at the labor camp, he became paralyzed and could not take care of himself. This time, his hunger strike at a police station demanding the release of his mother has caught public attention.

6. [Shanxi Province] The Xiangfen County Police Arrest and Persecute Mr. Zhang Liuye

Mr. Zhang Liuye is a retired employee of the Yaodu District Electric Bureau in Linfen City, Shanxi Province. On April 9, 2004, he went to Lingbo Village in Zhangli Township, Xiangfen County. Someone reported him to the police at the Zhangli Township Police Station for distributing truth-clarifying DVDs to several villagers working in the fields at Lingbo Village. Later officers from the Political Security Section of Xiangfen County Police Department arrested him. The next day, officers from the same section ransacked his home in Linfen City and confiscated Teacher's new articles, truth-clarifying materials, DVDs, and other materials. Mr. Zhang has since been held in custody at the Xiangfen County Detention Center. His wife, who is paralyzed and bedridden, depends on his care and now has no one to look after her.

8. [Sichuan Province] Practitioners Mr. Zhang Yinlong and Ms. Lu Hengping, Arrested

On the afternoon of March 7, 2005, officers from the Zhanqian Police Station of the Chengdu City Railroad Bureau arrested Mr. Zhang Yinlong from Chengdu City, in his sixties, and Ms. Lu Hengping at Ms. Lu's home at Wukuaishi.

9. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Huanfang Arrested

Ms. Li Huanfang from Guan County, Shandong Province was forced to become homeless to avoid being arrested for her steadfast belief in Falun Dafa. Recently the police received reports about her whereabouts and arrested her. She is being held in a prison in Guan County.

10. [Tianjin] Mr. Xu Xiaolong Sentenced to Forced Labor Again Even Though His Term Ended

In October 1999, Mr. Xu Xiaolong from Tianjin was sentenced to five years in prison because of his steadfast belief in Falun Dafa. On October 27, 2004, his term ended, but officers, including Fan Yasheng, at the Tianjin No. 1 Prison refused to release him. They conspired with Liu, head of the State Security Section of the Xiqing Police Department in Tianjin, and sentenced Mr. Xu Xiaolong to fifteen months of forced labor.

Mr. Xu's right arm was fractured from beatings at the Tianjin No. 1 Prison. He had to use his left hand even for light objects like chopsticks. Officials of the Xiqing Police Department forcibly sent him to the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp in the Beichen District of Tianjin in spite of his injuries. Mr. Xu Xiaolong has yet to recover from the injuries and continues to suffer.

11. [Sichuan Province] Ms. Lu Hengping, a Retired Employee of the Chengdu Railroad System, Arrested Again

Ms. Lu Hengping, 55, is retired from the railroad system. After July 20, 1999, she was taken into custody several times for simply speaking the truth about Falun Gong. In 2001, after the staged Tiananmen self-immolation incident, she was sent to the Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp to serve over one year of forced labor for refusing to repeat the lies spread by the state-run media. On June 27, 2002, she returned home while upholding her righteous thoughts. She was kept under constant surveillance after that. In March 2005, Ms. Lu Hengping was again arrested.

12. [Sichuan Province] Ms. Gu Yufen Sentenced to Five Years in Prison

Ms. Gu Yufen, 52, lived in the dormitory of the Qinglongchang Railroad Bureau in Chengdu City. At about 11:00 a.m. on June 28, 2004, members of the Qinglong Township 610 Office and officers from Yunnan Province suddenly broke into her home. Officers from Wanting Economic Development Zone Police Department in Ruili City arrested Ms. Gu and took her to Yunnan Province at 1:00 p.m. that same afternoon. On July 2, Ms. Gu was held at the Ruili City Detention Center. Two weeks later, the Ruili City Procuratorate issued a warrant for her arrest.

On January 20, 2005, the Intermediate Court of Dehong Autonomous Prefecture of Tai and Jingpo Nationalities sentenced Ms. Gu to five years in prison on charges of "sabotaging the implementation of the law through [slanderous terms deleted] organizations." Ms. Gu is being held in Linjiayuan at the west suburb of Kunming City, namely the Yunnan Province No. 2 Women's Prison.

13. [Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province] The Police Arrest Ms. Chen Guolian

On the afternoon of March 17, Chen Riqing, head of the security section of the Xiashan District Police Station in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, and other officers arrested Ms. Chen Guolian at home and ransacked her house.

In early March 2005, officers from the local police station arrested Ms. Zhang Ying from the cattail textile factory in Chibi City, Hubei Province at her place of work .

15. [Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Shang Xiping and Wife Illegally Arrested

Local police arrested Mr. Shang Xiping and his wife (also a Falun Dafa practitioner) from Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province and have held them at the Huanan Detention Center for half a month. It was heard that Mr. Shang Xiping was sentenced to four years in prison and his wife to one year.

16. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xue Tonghai from the Huangdao Developing Area Illegally Arrested

On the morning of March 3, 2005, over 20 policemen arrested Mr. Xue Tonghai from the Huangdao Developing Area of Qingdao City after they broke into his home. When the police arrived, Mr. Xue, his wife and three children (one of them is a teenager, and two of them are under 10) were all at home. Mr. Xue didn't open the door, so the police broke the lock and arrested him. Mr. Xue's wife was extremely frightened and immediately passed out. The two younger children were scared and cried. After the police arrested Mr. Xue, they came back again to ransack his home. They drove away the neighbors who came to witness what they were doing.

The police confiscated a copy machine, motorcycle backseat suitcase and a Walkman, as well as many truth-clarifying materials, CDs, and other personal property with a total value of about 6,000 yuan.

Around mid-March of 2005, two elderly practitioners Hu Guifang and Zhou Liangquan from Caochi Town, Jianyang City were reported when clarifying truth in Caochi Town countryside. They were arrested and taken to the detention center.

18. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Police Arrest Practitioners at Funeral

On February 2, 2005, six practitioners, Ms. Yang Guixiang, Wang Shuxia, Qin Xianzhen and others, from Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province were illegally arrested while attending Falun Dafa practitioner Pan Xingfu's funeral. Wang Shuxia and Qin Xianzhen were both detained for 5 days, and Ms. Yang for 15 days.

Around 9 a.m. on March 16, 2005, police from the Weicheng Police Station arrested Wang Hua when clarifying the truth on Cangnan Road, Weicheng District. After being whipped, Wang Hua was taken by the police to his/her home around 12:30 p.m. The police ransacked his/her home and confiscated a sound system, Dafa books and some truth-clarifying materials.

It has been recently heard that Ms. Zhang Xiumin from Huludao City has been detained at the No. 4 Middle Team of No. 1 Big Team of No. 2 Center of Masanjia Labor Camp. She is now on a hunger strike to protest the torture at Masanjia Labor Camp.

Ms. Zhang Xiuqin from Huludao City has been detained at No. 3 Middle Team of the No. 3 Big Team of the No. 2 Center of Masanjia Labor Camp. She suffers from hepatitis and fluid in her abdomen. She refused treatment in order to protest the torture at Masanjia Labor Camp.

Ms. Li Linlin is from Jining City, Shandong Province. She graduated from Nanjing Meteorological Phenomena Institute and has been detained in a forced labor camp for one year. Around January 8, 2005 she was arrested again at her home in Changning, Shanghai. Now she is held at Changning Detention Center.

On March 17, 2005, Director Wang of the Xinli Town Police Substation of Yushu City, Jilin Province led several policemen to ransack Mr. Ma Lingxi's home in Shuangyu Village of Xinli Town. They arrested Mr. Ma and took him to Yushu City Detention Center. Local people were greatly disturbed by this incident.

25. [Chongqing] Ms. Yang Enhui and Ms. Hu Liping from Banan District Arrested

Ms. Yang Enhui, over 60 years, lives on Mawangping Zheng Street in Lijiatuo. Ms. Hu Liping, over 50 years old, lives in the Wool Spinning Plant Employee's Dormitory. On March 6, 2005, they watched a CD and clarified the truth at the home of another practitioner. Someone reported them, so they were arrested afterwards.

26. [Yining, Xinjiang] Mr. Gong Hailiang Arrested Again

Mr. Gong Hailiang from Yining, Xinjiang Province was arrested again recently and sent back to Yining from Urumqi. Mr. Gong was released from the forced labor camp less than a year ago. His mother, Zhang Xiuyuen, a Falun Dafa practitioner, was also arrested, but was released from the detention center after she went on a hunger strike for eleven days.

27. [Datong, Shanxi Province] Police Arrest Ms. Niu Lanyuen

On March 10, 2005, plainclothes policemen arrested Ms. Niu Lanyuen from Datong City while she was distributing truth-clarifying materials. They conducted a brutal search on her and took away her house keys. They then contacted officers from the local police station and the neighborhood community to ransack her home. They confiscated all of her Falun Dafa books and sent her to the Chenzhuang Detention Center in Datong City that afternoon for further persecution.

28. [China] Ma Yanhua Tortured at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Ma Yanhua, 54 years of age, lives on Hongshu Street. Someone reported her to the police when she was clarifying the truth to people. She was then arrested and held at the detention center for 68 days. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor and sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

Masanjia Forced Labor Camp extended her term for another six months because Ms. Ma shouted out "Falun Dafa is good" at a meeting, refused to recite the prison rules or do exercises, and refused to follow any orders. Ms. Ma Yanhua is now in extremely poor health because of high blood pressure, hardening of the main artery, phlebitis, and glucosuria; she walks with difficulty. Her family members were not notified until March 15, 2005.

29. [Qingdao, Shandong Province] Wu Zhanwei and his Wife Arrested and Their Two Children Left Without Care

Mr. Wu Zhanwei from Lijiabozi Village, Xinan Township, Huangdao District, Qingdao City was arrested at his home on March 17. His wife Ms. Cui Jinfang was arrested and taken to the township police station on the night of March 21. Their two children, a fourteen-year old son who is handicapped and a seven-year old daughter, were left unattended at home with no one to care for them.

30. [Neijiang, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Xinmei and Ms. Yang Qiying Arrested While Clarifying the Truth

Ms. Huang Xinmei,62, lives at the Wangshan Residential Quarter of Shengli Town, Dongxing District. Ms. Yang Qiying, 59 , lives at No. 14 48 Xingsheng Road of Xilin new Residential Quarter, Neijiang City.

Plainclothes police officers arrested Ms. Huang and Ms. Yang on the morning of March 10, 2005, while they were distributing Falun Gong truth clarifying materials on Xilin Bridge. They were taken to the Xilin local police station. On the same morning the officials from the 610 Office in the Dongxing District, the police officers from the National Security Team and the Xilin local police station ransacked their homes and confiscated their Falun Gong books and materials, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and a copier. In the afternoon, they were imprisoned separately at the detention centers in Neijiang City and the detention center in Dongxing District. Their family members were prohibited from visiting them. Both of them are on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention.

Mr. Zheng Boliang, Ms. Huang's husband, was arrested three times for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. He was also fined three times for a total of 16,700 yuan. After his wife was arrested and their home ransacked, he was forced to become homeless in order to avoid being captured and tortured again.

Recently, Ms. Zhang Gaifen and her daughter Ms. Chen Huiying from Dagang District were both missing. Some sources said that the police broke into their house one day unexpectedly and arrested them without an explanation.

Ms. Lu Jingchun lives at Group 1 of the Western Residential Quarter, Lingbei Town in Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province. In March 2002, the Lingbei local police arrested Ms. Lu, took her to the No.2 detention center and forced her to attend forced brainwashing sessions. She was imprisoned for over 20 days. When her husband Mr. Chen Yu was detained and sent to a forced labor camp, she alone took care of two paralyzed elderly relatives at home. She suffered tremendously both mentally and physically.

In December 1999, the police officers from the Lingbei local police station arrested Mr. Chen. Station head Li Fengshan and instructor Liu Shaoquan fined him 500 yuan. In December 2001, police officer Li Xinhai and Liu Shiwen from local police station arrested him again and sent him to the No. 2 detention center for forced brainwashing. He was imprisoned for over 20 days. In January 2002, he was arrested for the third time. At 9:00 p.m. on October 9 2002, over 10 police officers, including station head Liu Junchen and officer Li Xinhai entered his courtyard by climbing over a wall and arrested him. His relatives had to pay 500 yuan in order to visit him twice. On January 9, 2003, he was sent to the Chaoyang reformatory and was released in January 2004.
