1. [Shandong Province] Jia Xiufang Stages a Hunger Strike to Protest Illegal Detention
Falun Dafa practitioner Jia Xiufang from Jinan City has been staging a hunger strike for eight days at Jinan City's Legal Training Center (actually a brainwashing center). She is now severely weak.

We have heard that professor Yang Jingxia from Sichuan University was sentenced to three years of forced labor simply because she refused to give up Falun Dafa. She is now being held at the No.1 Ward, Yangmahe Prison in Jianyang City.

3. [Beijing] Police Arrest Several Practitioners from Daxing
On March 1, 2005, personnel from National Security Bureau arrested several practitioners including Gao Jianming, Cheng Wei, Yu Ming from Daxing. They are currently being held at the Daxing Detention Center.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Li Chunmei Sustains Serious Eye Injury Due to Police Beating
On March 1, 2005, practitioner Ms. Li Chunmei went to the nearby No. 1 Center, Silugou Forest Center and was spotted while distributing truth-clarifying flyers. Hu Er'ya who is in charge of persecuting Falun Gong in the No. 1 Center seized her and beat her badly. One of Li Chunmei's eyes was injured from the beating and bled profusely. However, Hu Er'ya abducted her and took her to the Liuji Brainwashing Class in the Xinzhou District and attempted to force her to write the so-called "Guarantee Statement" while Li Chunmei's eye was still bleeding. Li Chunmei firmly refused. Her husband wrote a statement on her behalf and several people physically forced Li Chunmei to put her fingerprint on the statement. Li Chunmei was sent to Xinzhou District People's Hospital for surgery. She has been transferred to Wuhan City's Hospital.
5. [Chibi City, Hubei Province] Gong Zhongnan Abducted to a Brainwashing Class Again
Practitioner Mr. Gong Zhongnan of Chibi City, Hubei Province was abducted by Zhu Wanjun, Zhou Jianjun and Qian Chijun when he distributed truth-clarifying materials before the Chinese Lunar New Year. They took him to a detention center. His family spent a lot of effort and helped him to get out. However, he was taken into a brainwashing class again shortly after his release from the detention center.
6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Weimin Tortured So Severely That He Suffered a Stroke at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp
In March 2003, police from Yitong County's National Security Team arrested 37-year-old practitioner Li Weimin from Yitong County and sentenced him to three years of forced labor. In January 2005 Li Weimin was tortured to near paralysis in the No.1 Division of the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp. The final hospital diagnosis was a stroke. His family members requested his release, but the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp authorities ordered the family to pay 8,000 yuan. The family refused to pay, so the forced labor camp authorities demanded 4,000 yuan. After the family argued with them some more, the authorities agreed to 1,000 yuan. In addition, the labor camp authorities required a diagnosis certificate from a major hospital. His parents, the only family members at home, were in their 60s. His father suffered from a stroke himself because of worries and anguish after Li Weimin's arrest and is paralyzed and bedridden. Li's mother had to take care of him. The family doesn't have any income and their son was tortured to that extent. This horrible situation increased the family's trauma.
7. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Lu Baobin Sentenced to Three Years of Imprisonment
At noon on February 9, 2005, an officer named Han Guocun from Niqiu Town Police Precinct in Taihe County found practitioner Mr. Lu Baobin from Taihe County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province posting truth-clarifying flyers along the Guotai Road in Taihe County. Han Guocun had come to the county to visit his relatives that day. He followed Lu Baobin and called the local police. Afterwards, the police arrested Lu. Subsequently, Lu was sentenced to three years of imprisonment.
After he went to Beijing to clarify the truth, 40-year-old practitioner Lu Baobin was sent to a forced labor camp and fired from his position as principal of Damiao Township Elementary School in Taihe County. Prior to his current arrest he was a teacher at a private school in Taihe County.

8. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] Zhang Yanju Arrested at His Home
On February 28, 2005, personnel from the National Security Team, the Wuwei City Police Department, arrested practitioner Mr. Zhang Yanju from Gaoba Town, Wuwei City, Gansu Province at his home. They also confiscated all truth-clarifying materials, bank deposit certificates and cash.
9. [Chongqing] Wang Zhengrong Arrested and Detained Many Times
Wang Zhengrong is from Lishi Town, Jiangjin City, the Chongqing area. In November 2000, officers Wang Chun and Lu Zhongyong from Lishi Town's Police Precinct arrested Wang Zhengrong and sent him into Jiangjin City's Detention Center. Wang was later sentenced to two years of forced labor and was put into Chongqing's Xishanping Forced Labor Camp.
Wang Zhengrong went on a hunger strike for over two months, and then he was bailed out for medical treatment. Not long after his release, Wang Zhengrong was arrested and again taken to a detention center. Mr. Wang went on a hunger strike again and was released four days later. Since February 2003, Mr. Wang has had to lead a homeless life in order to avoid possible illegal arrest.
On April 29, 2003, lawless policemen again arrested Wang Zhengrong and put him into the Jiangjin City Detention Center and didn't allow any family to visit him. A practitioner heard from policemen that Wang Zhengrong's life was in danger.
10. [Chongqing] The Persecution Tang Qingqiao Suffered
Tang Qingqiao is a practitioner from the Wanshou No.1 Group in Lishi Town, Jiangjin City, Chongqing area. The following is the persecution he has suffered:
Forced brainwashing: On August 5, 2001, he was sent into Jiangjin City's Detention Center for nine days of forced brainwashing.
Detention: On August 21, 2001, personnel from Lishi Town Police Station sent him into Jiangjin City Brainwashing Class and detained him for 15 days.
Home ransacked and fined: On September 13, 2001, personnel from Jiangjin City's Brainwashing Class fined him 500 yuan, illegally searched his home and confiscated Teacher's articles and the book Zhuan Falun.
Details of torture: On August 20, 2001, lawless policeman Lu Zhongyong from Lishi Town handcuffed him and weighed down his hands with a brick. Then he again handcuffed Tang Qingqiao's hands onto chairs. Later he sent Tang Qingqiao to the Jiangjin City Brainwashing Class.
11. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Police Arrest Tang Moqiu
Around 7:00 p.m. on May 19, 2002, Yu Hongjun, Sanbao Township's Police Station chief, policemen Qu Zhida and a group of county policemen forcibly arrested practitioner Tang Moqiu from home. When the policemen shoved Tang Moqiu into a car, they broke a piece of the car's windows and then lied, saying it was Tang Moqiu's family who broke the window. They took Tang Moqiu to the police station. Yu Hongjun brutally beat practitioner Tang with a leather belt. The policemen hit Tang Moqiu's head with a bamboo stick. Later they sent Tang Moqiu to Nong'an County Detention Center.
