(Clearwisdom.net) When I was in college, one of my classmates had an older sister who was dating a young man from Taiwan. The girl's parents were against their relationship, so they soon stopped dating. The reason why the parents were against their daughter dating the young man from Taiwan was because once when the young man visited the girl's family, while watching TV together, the young man thought it was so funny that in Chinese TV programs Communist party members were all so nice, brave, etc., with all the merits a person could have. He laughed so hard that he almost fell off the chair. The girl's parents thought this young man might have a mental problem, so they stopped their daughter from dating him.

I too was confused when I first heard the story. What was the Taiwanese young man laughing at? My classmate reasoned that if we went to Taiwan and saw all the "Kuomintang Reactionaries," as they are called in Mainland China's propaganda, portrayed as heroes, patriots, and great as gods in Taiwan's TV, we too would find it funny. Thus we concluded that no propaganda is reliable, every party has its good and bad sides, and that one could not draw an immediate conclusion.

As a Falun Gong practitioner, I've experienced the persecution for almost five years now; and I have come to see the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) more clearly. Yet when reading the articles that have disclosed the CCP's history of killing and evil, I was still shocked. I never realized that this party's history could be so full of bloodshed, lies, and cruelty.

Everyone who has lived in China has been poisoned by the CCP's lies to some degree. For example, we were brainwashed since a very young age that "landlords" were a group of very bad people, and now I realize they are simply owners of land. All the serious labels such as "reactionaries" and "rightists" thus sound funny to me today. Currently, many people have been scared of Falun Gong and thought it was a terrible cult, not realizing that the label simply came from the CCP's propaganda. The CCP forced people to accept the poisonous lies fed to them, forcing people to lose their own judgments of righteousness or evil and to lose their benign nature. This has led people toward disaster.

When preparing for the college entrance exam, teachers promised that the exam would not have any questions on the Cultural Revolution or other political movements that killed large numbers of people. The CCP does not encourage students to remember these sensitive "mistakes," so we did not study this part of history. People in my generation have learned very little about the CCP's bloody history from our parents. Moreover, our parents themselves grew up under the CCP's control and education, so they also do not know the truth about the CCP.

The truth disclosed on Clearwisdom.net has helped people break though the lies planted in people's minds by the CCP. My mother is also a Dafa practitioner. She grew up after the CCP gained control over China, and she was shocked to learn the truth about the CCP's history. However, when I told my mother that some of the veteran, revolutionary CCP leaders' hands were stained with people's blood, though these CCP leaders later became victims of political movements, my mother could not believe it at all, saying "I do not want to know more about this..."

Now I believe I understand why many people have found it difficult to believe the bloody persecution Falun Gong practitioners have suffered. It was not because they could not tell good from evil, and it was not that they "did not believe either side." The reality is that it is hard for most kind-hearted people to face such bloody facts. When the truth about the CCP's bloody history is more fully disclosed, it will be easier for people to accept the truth about Falun Gong, and together resist the evil party's persecution and violence.
