1. [Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Vertebrae Shattered from Beatings, Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Chen Dongxia Is Paralyzed
Practitioner Ms. Chen Dongxia, 50, worked at the Tianshan Chemical Factory in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region. In mid-2002 she was abducted as she distributed truth clarification materials near a residential building in Miquan City. She was sent to the Xinjiang Women's Forced Labor Camp. The guards beat her until her vertebrae were shattered and she was paralyzed. She was sent home.
2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Mr. Huang Wei Again Sent to a Forced Labor Camp, and His Wife Is Abducted
Practitioner Ms. Hao Qiuyan in Shijiazhuang City was abducted from home on the morning of January 18, 2005. Officers from the Hedong Police Station in Shijiazhuang City made the arrest. Her husband Huang Wei was abducted on April 13, 2004, and is being held at Division 3 at the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp. Hao Qiuyan has been appealing for her husband. A renowned lawyer in Beijing was moved by her perseverance and has accepted Huang Wei's case. The court, however, refuses to deal with his case. Huang Wei's father is in his late seventies, and his mother and five-year-old child are at home uncared for as the Chinese New Year approaches.

3. [Shanghai] Elderly Practitioners Lu Quanzeng and Wife Held at the Xuhui Detention Center
On January 8, police officers in Shanghai abducted 69-year-old practitioner Mr. Lu Quanzeng and his wife, 68-year-old Li Yuyan, who lived at Xiaomuqiao Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai. They are currently being held at the Xuhui Detention Center in Shanghai. The address of the detention center is: No 15, Alley 398, Longwu Road, Shanghai, 200232.
4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Mr. Wang Shiming and Ms. Wang Lanfang Abducted for Distributing Truth Clarification Materials
Practitioner Mr. Wang Shiming is 27 years old and lives in Dalian City.
Practitioner Ms. Wang Lanfang is around 48 and lives in Xinzhaizi, Dalian City.
On the evening of January 13, 2005, patrolling officers from Xinzhaizi Police Station abducted the two practitioners as they were distributing truth clarification flyers in a residential complex near Qiange, Dalian City. The practitioners are currently holding a hunger strike.
Wang Shiming was held at the Dalian Forced Labor Camp from 2001 to 2002 and from 2002 to November 2004. He is very determined in Dafa practice.
Ms. Wang Lanfang was held at the Dalian Forced Labor Camp for going to Beijing three times to appeal for Dafa.
Wang Shiming is being held in Room 10-9, and Wang Lanfang is in Room 8-9 at the Dalian Detention Center.

5. [Beijing] Practitioner Ms. He Guilan Sentenced to Five Years in Prison
Practitioner Ms. He Guilan was abducted from her home in Beijing on April 27, 2004, and was held at a secret "reform center," sponsored by the Fengtai National Council Bureau. Six months later she was transferred to the Changping Prison in Beijing. Two months ago she was secretly sentenced to five years in prison. Since her arrest she has never been allowed to meet with her family or colleagues.
6. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ms. Chi Xiaolan Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
Around 4:00 p.m. on January 2, 2005, practitioner Ms. Chi Xiaolan, a teacher from the No. 5 Middle School in Deyang City, Sichuan Province, was handcuffed and abducted by a middle-aged man, who is suspected to be from the 610 Office. She was on her way to a fruit market. The man sent her to the Jingdong Police Department in Deyang City. Around 9:00 p.m. that same day, Yang Jianguo, head of the Jingdong Police Department's 610 Office; officer Zhou Bo; Lai Zhongchang, the Party Secretary of the No. 5 Middle School; as well as Fan Binling; Jiang Jinquan; Wang Qisheng; and others took Chi Xiaolan to her home. No one was home. The perpetrators took the key from Ms. Chi and barged in. They ransacked her home and took her to the Jingyang District Detention Center around 11:00 p.m.
Chen Gang from the Deyang City 610 Office lied to Ms. Chi's family and told them they had videotaped her distributing truth clarification flyers. The Jingyang District Court bowed to pressure from the 610 Office and hastily sentenced Ms. Chi Xiaolan to three years in prison, from January 2, 2005 to January 2, 2007. The verdict was passed down on the afternoon of January 11 without following any legal procedures or any evidence being presented. They sent Ms. Chi to the Chuanxi Women's Prison on the morning of January 12, 2005, but the prison authorities refused to take her. They then sent her to Jianyang Women's Prison, but the authorities there also refused to take her. They then took her to Jingyang District Detention Center.

7. [Guangdong Province] Practitioner Ms. Zhen Yuyan Force-fed at the Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp
Police abducted practitioner Ms. Zhen Yuyan in late October 2004. She was later sent to the Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp in Guangdong Province. She started a hunger strike as soon as she arrived at the labor camp and was brutally force-fed. She is now at the brink of death.

8. [Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Jianping Remains on a Hunger Strike at the Judong Forced Labor Camp
Practitioner Ms. Wang Jianping is around 53 years of age and lives in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. She was taken away by police on November 11, 2004 and has been held at the Judong Forced Labor Camp in Jiangsu Province. She has been on a hunger strike and is now in a critical condition.
9. [Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Abducted at the Qianjin Farm in Jiansanjiang for Clarifying the Truth About Dafa
On January 15, 2005, practitioner Pan Shurong's husband drove practitioners Ms. Zhu Jinhua, Ms. Li Jingfen, Ms. Shi Shuhua, Ms. Pan Shurong and Ms. Tang Ying to the Qianjin Farm in Jiansanjiang to distribute truth clarification flyers. They were discovered, and the practitioners are now being held and the car impounded at the Qianjin Police Department.
Their homes were later ransacked, and a printer and some Dafa materials were confiscated.
10. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Practitioners Ms. Xiang Jinmei and Long Jianhua Sent to a Forced Labor Camp
Practitioners Ms. Xiang Jinmei and Long Jianhua from the Yuetang District, Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, were sentenced to one year of forced labor on January 11, 2005. They are currently being held at the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province. They were accused of persisting in practicing Falun Gong and having Falun Gong material at home.
11. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Geng Ruijun and Her Brother Arrested While Distributing Truth-Clarification Materials
During the evening of December 14, 2004, Ms. Geng Ruijun and her brother Mr. Geng Like from the Tianhe District in Guangzhou City were stopped and arrested by the local police. It happened while they were distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials at a roadway intersection in Qianjin Village in the Tianhe District. Their home was ransacked as well. After incarcerating Mr. Geng for a few days, the district police sentenced him to two years of forced labor. He is now being detained at the Chini Forced Labor Camp in the Huadu District. After Ms. Geng was detained for 15 days, her family member went to the local police station to pick her up, but she had been sent to the Guangzhou "Legal Education Center," actually a brainwashing center, against her will and was not allowed family visits.
12. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Yang Arrested For Sending Out a Short Cell Phone Message about the Facts of Falun Gong
Practitioner Mr. Wang Yang is 47 years old and lives in the Fushanhou No. 2 Residential Area in the Shibei District. During the evening of December 9, 2004, personnel from Qingdao City's Police Department and the Yanan Road Police Station traced him while he was sending a short message about the truth of Falun Gong over his cell phone on Yanan Road and arrested him. His home was ransacked that night. Mr. Wang is now being detained at Qingdao City's No.1 Detention Center, and the People's Procurator's Office has issued an arrest warrant. We have learned recently that another Qingdao practitioner has just been sentenced to four years in prison for sending a short message about Falun Gong over a cell phone.

13. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Xiangzhen Sentenced to Forced Labor
Police took Ms. Zhang Xiangzhen from Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, to the Chang'an Police Station because she practices Falun Gong. During the mandatory search, a few Dafa books and some study materials were found, so personnel from the Shuangyashan Police Department sentenced her to three years of forced labor. At present, Ms. Zhang has been on a hunger strike for several days and feels very weak.

14. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jiang Shuling Deprived of Sleep for Over One Week in the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp
On September 7, 2004, Ms. Jiang Shuling and Ms. Zhang Liyan from Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, were sent to the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp. In order to achieve a 100% so-called "transformation rate," the most vicious "enhanced management" methods have been applied in the labor camp. Ms. Jiang was locked up in a small cell all day long with her hands cuffed. She was deprived of sleep continuously for over a week. The police tortured them like this until they lost the ability to think clearly, in their attempts to "transform" them. Then the police grabbed their hands to write a so-called "Guarantee Statement," promising not to practice Falun Gong anymore.
15. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Mr. Mao Zengshun Abducted and Taken to the Xinglongshan Brainwashing Center
After being detained in a labor camp for three full years, practitioner Mr. Mao Zengshun from Changchun City was released from the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in October 2004. On January 14, 2005, Mr. Mao was reported to the city's police department and the local 610 Office. His employer, the Yangcaogou Coal Mine, was responsible because he had sued them in the Jilin Provincial Intermediate People's Court to have his employment restored so that he could live a normal life. That same day, the court postponed Mr. Mao's case, saying that his documents were incomplete. When Mr. Mao walked out of the courthouse to get his bicycle, personnel from the police department and the local 610 Office beat him violently. In the end, they sent him to the notorious Xinglongshan Brainwashing Center.
