(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wen Jingsong lives in Guangsheng Village, Lanqizhen Town, Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province. He caught tuberculosis in the fall of 1995. In 1997, he was infected again after coming in contact with a tuberculosis patient in Huzhu Village Clinic. This time, the drug treatments had no effect on him. His health deteriorated quickly. He was treated in the Third Hospital of Fengcheng City, County Hospital, and Pulmonary Clinic of Dandong and Shenyang Hospital. However, he showed no sign of improvement and his illness became more and more severe. Not only were his lungs infected with tuberculosis, his chest and pleura were as well. A hole formed in his left lung due the necrosis. His lung shrank, became infected, and was filling up with pus. Although he had a relative who worked at Shenyang Hospital, his illness was so severe and contagious that they would no longer admit him. The doctors told him that he would not live for long.
After one month-long treatment, Dr. Jiang, the best doctor in Dandong Tuberculosis Hospital, said to Mr. Wen and his family members, "I have treated many patients but I have never seen a patient like you." After reading Mr. Jiang's patient record, the director of Shenyang Tuberculosis Prevention and Treatment Institute said directly to Wen's father that it is impossible to cure his illness. In October 1997, Wen's last hospital treatment in Shenyang Chest Hospital lasted over 20 days and cost nearly 10,000 yuan. After some persuasion by a relative who worked in the hospital, Wen's father gave up his intention to continue treatment there. All three family members returned home from Shenyang City.
At that point, Wen Jingsong walked with his body bent, carrying two bottles to collect the pus from his lungs. He was as thin as a stick. Although he was 1.72 m (approximately 5'7" ¨C polishers note) in height, he weighed less than 77 lb. He looked pale. His cheekbones looked very conspicuous, his eye sockets sunken, and he looked nearly lifeless.
Those who suffered the greatest pain were his parents. They could do nothing but watch their beloved son suffering from the pain of his illness. In less than 6 months, his parents aged so much that they looked as if they became 10 or 20 years older. Over half of the hair and beard of Wen Jingsong's father turned gray. After Jingsong was healed, his mother told him: "Jingsong, I had thought at that time, if you had died then, I would hang myself, I didn't want to live if you had died."
In the spring of 1998, a precious book Zhuan Falun was placed into Wen Jingsong's hands and changed his life. Although Wen Jingsong could not do the exercises at that time and all he could do was read the book, study the Fa, and do some sitting meditation, a miracle happened anyway. His health improved quickly. By the fall 1998, Jingsong's health was fully restored. During the fall harvest, Jingsong's family members went to rice field. They did not allow Jingsong to go because they were worried about his health. He quietly found a sickle and went to the field alone and harvested several bundles of rice. On the way back he met the mother of the Dean of the Chinese Medical Hospital. She saw Wen Jingsong harvesting rice in the field. She said, surprised and happy, "Jingsong, I could not imagine that you would have recovered and are even able to work in the field. Last year, everybody said that you were not going to live. I can tell you this now, since you have recovered. When I was in Fengcheng City, Dr. Li Rongfan told me that you would only live for 6 more months." Wen Jingsong said sincerely, "You are right. I could not imagine that I am still alive today. If it were not for Falun Dafa, I would have died long time ago. My Teacher saved me and my family!"
In October 1998, Wen Jingsong had a physical check-up in the County Hospital. He was completely healed.
As Wen Jingsong's health was restored, the dark cloud hanging over his family cleared up. A family that was on the verge of collapse was restored to the happiness it enjoyed before. However, the happiness did not last long. In July 1999, Falun Dafa, a great Fa that promotes "truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance" and that has saved countless people like Wen Jingsong, was persecuted ruthlessly because of the jealousy of a dictator that abused his power. Wen Jingsong and several other people went to Beijing together to appeal. They tried to use their own experiences to tell the government and people that Falun Dafa is great and ask them to clear the name of their Teacher. They were arrested on their way to Beijing and were sent to Fengcheng Detention Center. They were detained there for four months.
In the fall 2001, with the introduction of Leng Dongmei, the former director of women's affairs of Hongqi Town, Wen Jingsong married Zhou Jing from Dougangzi Village, Jiguangshan Town. They lived happily after the marriage because both cultivate in Falun Dafa, and each conducts themselves according to the requirements of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance." They always thought of others first. Whenever there is a conflict, they would look inside themselves for reasons. His wife lives harmoniously with his family. All the villagers can see how happy they are. They also have a beautiful three-year-old daughter.
Wen Jingsong looks thin but very healthy. Since 1998 when he started to cultivate Falun Dafa, he has never needed to take any medicine or injections of drugs. His daughter never had to go to a clinic for three years. On Sundays when Wen Jingsong's parents take their granddaughter to the community fair, people who know them would say, "You are very fortunate. Your son's illness is cured and then he gets married, and you have such a beautiful granddaughter. Falun Gong is indeed great."
