Facts of the Persecution

On May 26, 2004, police officers in Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province abducted 14 Dafa practitioners and sent them to the No. 2 Detention Center in Yilan City. Six Dafa practitioners, including Li Shoutian, Sun Peichen, Tan Fenghua, Xu Baohua and Yan Haixu held a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. On June 15, these six practitioners were on the verge of death and were rushed to the Yilan County Hospital for the second time. The next day, the perpetrators sent these six practitioners, who had been on a hunger strike for 15 days, to the Group Drill Division at the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City. They were later sent to Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp.

Officer Wang Yue and others from the Zhengda Police Station in Jinzhou City arrested Dafa practitioner Fu Yan from Jinzhou City. Fu Yan held a hunger strike for over 40 days and insisted that she was innocent, thus resisting the persecution. She later left home in order to spare her child and husband from police harassment. Her neighbors are angry with the police for persecuting her.

Perpetrators and Their Crimes

The crimes of perpetrators Li Zhilin and Li Jiukuan from Xiaonianzhuang Village, Zunhua, Tangshan City, Hebei Province: On February 25, 2004, Dafa practitioners Li Guoliang and Li Guosheng went to Beijing to appeal and were escorted back home and detained. These two perpetrators said to the practitioners' families, "We will certainly get them out." At the same time they said on the village broadcast radio, "Whoever reports a Dafa practitioner will receive 300 to 500 Yuan (1) in reward money from the township government, on top of another 100 Yuan from the village government." They also defamed Dafa. They posted cartoons in the streets that attacked Falun Dafa and sent people to guard the pictures around the clock, to prevent Dafa practitioners from tearing them down. They also put lighting around the pictures so they could be seen by anyone who approached them.
