(Clearwisdom.net) On May 15, 2004, several dozen Dafa practitioners from the metropolitan area of Chicago and Indiana went to Grant Park, a well-known scenic site to celebrate the Fifth World Falun Dafa Day.

It was a clear and sunny day. Facing busy Michigan Avenue, practitioners practiced the Falun Gong exercises together and displayed banners that read, "Falun Dafa is great" and "World Falun Dafa Day." The serene and peaceful scene of the group practice drew many tourists' attention. They stopped to watch the exercises, ask for introductory materials, or talk with practitioners to learn more about Dafa. Some also asked practitioners to teach them the exercises. In the end, holding lotus flowers in their hands, practitioners loudly said together, "Greetings, Teacher! Happy Birthday to You!" and took a group picture.
In the afternoon, as they have done every weekend for almost five years, practitioners went to the Chinese consulate in Chicago, where they practiced the exercises, sent forth righteous thoughts and peacefully appealed for an end to the persecution.
