Truth about the Persecution

Jilin Province's Female Prison has been continuously persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The means of persecution used include confinement in isolation cambers, cuffing hands and legs to the wall, binding bodies to unpadded beds with ropes, forcing to write and sign the "Four Letters," as well as hanging a criminal identification sign on the neck and forced labor. Recently, seven practitioners have been persecuted to death at that prison: Two sisters, Ms. Yang Guijun and Ms. Yang Guiqin from Liaoyuan, were forced to jump from the top floor of the jail and died from the fall; Ms. Han Cuiyuan, Ms. Yu Lixin, Ms. Deng Shiying, Ms. Jiang Chunxian, and Ms. Li were beaten to death during forced feeding.

Practitioners Ms. Liu Lihua, Ms. Cheng Guijun, and Ms. Zhao Yuhuan were illegally detained in Tangshan's Kaiping Forced Labor Camp have been on hunger strikes for more than two months.

Because she told the facts of Falun Gong, Hainan Island's practitioner Ms. Zheng Xiufang, age 42, was arrested and brutally beaten by the police of Haikou City Public Security Bureau. On November 15, 2002, a local court unlawfully sentenced Ms. Zheng to a 3-year jail term in Haikou City's Fengxiang Prison. On the evening of April 24, 2004, Weifang City's national security and public security police used despicable means in continuing to unlawfully arrest Falun Gong practitioners all over the city. The known name list includes Ms. Xiao Yixia, Ms. Sun Xiaomei, Mr. Yang Guangmao, Mr. Li Jiangang, Mr. Tang Xiumei, and another male practitioner. A total of six were abducted, and at least three residences of escaped practitioners were illegally searched, and their personal property was confiscated.

On April 6, 2004, ten or so policemen from Daqing City's Wolitun public security branch office and national protection, as well as the local police station, broke into practitioner Mr. Gao Yujie's home and confiscated everything that appeared to be Falun Gong related. At the public security bureau, the police separately interrogated the practitioners they had lined up until after 10 p.m., and then confined the five unlawfully arrested practitioners to the conference room on the second floor of the Criminal Detectives Brigade. At 2 p.m. the next afternoon, the police announced their intent to detain Mr. Han, Mr. Liu, and Mr. Zhu for "criminal" actions; and to send Mr. Zhou Huaying to Daqing Detention Center. Later, Mr. Han and Mr. Liu were illegally detained at Longfeng Detention Center, while Mr. Zhu Chuanjie and Mr. Gao Yujie were released.
