(Clearwisdom.net) On May 7th, 2004, a few young Falun Dafa practitioners participated in a demonstration in Montreal organized by the 2/3 Club, an international youth solidarity group.á More than 10,000 teenagers were present to show their support for world peace, sustainable development, human rights and justice.
Young Falun Dafa practitioners held a banner (in French) that read, "Together, We Can End the Genocide against Falun Dafa in China".á Throughout a 5.5 mile walk on the streets of Montreal, they distributed Friends of Falun Gong leaflets with the title, "Imagine Being Persecuted for Doing This".
At one point during the march, two practitioners sat down to practice the meditation exercise, while others held the banner behind them.áThey stayed there for ten minutes while people from the demonstration passed continually in front of them.á
The practitioners received a lot of support from people who had just learned the situation of Falun Gong in China that same morning.áLearning the facts of the brutal persecution, they naturally decided to lend a hand by holding the banner and distributing leaflets.áAt the end of the route, the young Falun Gong practitioners hung the banner on the hand rail of the Place des Arts Plaza where hundreds of passersby were able to see it.
