(Clearwisdom.net) Several Falun Dafa Practitioners from Hunan Province were secretly sentenced to prison. The practitioners included: Mr. He Xuezhao, sentenced to 8 years; Mr. Liao Songling, 3 years; Mr. Wu Jianming, 4 years; Ms. Zhang Wenlan, 3 years; Ms. Yuan Dongbo, 3 years; Ms. Shi Jiaoyu, 3 years; Ms. Luo Qiaoli, 4 years; Ms. Wei Xiangbo, 4 years; Mr. Wang Quanlian, 3 years; Mr. Zeng Zhiyuan, 3 years. On the morning of March 2 and the night of March 3, 2004, these practitioners were sent to several prisons, including the Jinshi Prison in Changde, the Changsha Women's Prison of Hunan Province, and the Chishan Prison in Yuanjiang, Yiyang City. None of their family members were notified.
A practitioner from Chenzhou saw a sticker with the words "Falun Dafa is good" in a market. As the label was not stuck flat, she put out her hand to flatten it. This was seen by a security person. He grabbed her and said, "Come on, let's go to the police department." The practitioner said very righteously, "I did not do anything bad." When they came to the district police department, the policeman on duty, whose family name was Chen, said, "Why, is it you again?" The almost 60-year-old practitioner, who had been arrested and detained many times said, "We Falun Dafa practitioners are all good people. Why do you always detain good people?" Then the security person asked the policeman, "I've brought her to you. You claimed that there is a reward of 2,000 yuan (1) for every Falun Gong practitioner who is caught. Now give me the money!" Policeman Wu answered, "You go and ask for the money from Falun Gong practitioners!" The practitioner resisted this firmly, so the guard did not get even a cent and went back with nothing.
On the night of February 18, 2004, a patrolman caught an elderly practitioner in the Wanxing Market of Chenzhou City, and said happily, "Each practitioner is worth 2,000 yuan." However, no evidence could be found to charge this practitioner of any wrongdoing. After the Chinese New Year's festival of 2004, policemen from Suxian District, along with people from the "610 office" (2) brought handcuffs, arrest warrants and search warrants, and not only broke into this practitioner's home to search the house, but also ordered the practitioner to promise not to practice. As the practitioner and family members firmly resisted, the police failed to obtain anything. The police then forcefully took away one of the family members and said, "We will release you after we receive 2,000 yuan from you." The practitioner shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" Three days later, the practitioner was released and returned home.
