(Clearwisdom.net) On April 2, 2004, police from the Chaoyang City Security Bureau and the Chaoyang City Police Department, Shuangta Branch, in conjunction with the Longcheng Branch of the City Police Department in Liaoning Province held a joint action to illegally arrest eleven Falun Dafa practitioners. Also arrested was Mr. Liu Yuli (a non-practitioner), who is the husband of practitioner Ms. Li Suzhen. The police have now created a "Special Case Team" to further persecute Dafa practitioners.
On April 5, 2004, Ms. Li Yingxuan was tortured to the brink of death while in detention. The police then simply threw her in a hospital. Ms. Li's daughter went to the hospital to bring her mother back home. However, Zhang Minghua, Director of the Shuangta Branch of the Chaoyang City Police Department, sent some police officers to Ms. Li and her relatives' homes to harass them. They threatened her daughter and abducted her as well.
Ms. Li had gone to appeal for Falun Dafa in Beijing after the persecution began on July 20, 1999. She was arrested and illegally sent to forced labor camp. In October 1999, Ms. Li was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp and severely persecuted there. Her mind and body were greatly harmed by the intense persecution. Ms. Li's daughter was not even 20 years old when her mother was arrested in 1999. The young woman has had to live alone with only her father since then. After suffering two years of pain without her mother, she finally came back home, but now they are both separated again.
