Facts of the Persecution

During the Spring Festival of this year Dafa practitioner Zhang Ziqiang from Huang Village, Ying Town, Shan County, Sanmenxia City in Henan Province, hung up a couplet on the door of his house. The streamer read, "Buddha Light Illuminates Everywhere," and on the couplet, "With Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance in the heart, Falun Dafa cultivation to fruition; Constantly Cultivate Xinxing, Wonders abound on Completion." On February 1, 2004, the police at Ying Town of Shan County arrested Zhang Ziqiang. He escaped later and was forced to leave home and drift about to avoid further persecution. On March 5, the police arrested Zhang and his wife and sent them to Sanmenxia City Brainwashing class for persecution.

On March 16, 2004 Dafa practitioner Li Yinjie, an outstanding policeman in Tongliao City of Inner Mongolia, was kidnapped at home by police from the Tongliao City Public Security Bureau for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. His 16-year-old daughter had her arms twisted and handcuffed. The tight handcuffs caused her hands to bleed. The police illegally detained Li Yinjie and his daughter at the Tongliao City Hexi Prison. His daughter was subsequently released. Li Yinjie is still under illegal detention. His wife was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution.

On April 14, 2004, the brainwashing class held by Party School of Jingmen City, Hubei Province was started. A total of eleven Falun Gong practitioners were abducted for this session. Female Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Yuhua from Hengsheng Petroleum Chemical Co. Limited in Jingmen City, Hubei Province was abducted at work. She was illegally sentenced to 2-years in a forced labor camp in 1999 for persisting in her belief. Her term was further extended by half a year, and she was not released until the later half of 2002. She was extremely frail from the abuse.

Falun Gong practitioner Lin Xiuqin, 44, is from Nanfen District of Benxi City. In early March 2004, she was transferred to the Women's Section of the Masanjia Labor Education Center Women's Second Division. On March 18, she was brutally beaten for practicing Falun Gong exercises. After the beating her face was deformed, she had bruises and scratch marks all over her face, and there was a big bump on her head. On March 20, she was again brutally beaten for exposing the evil deeds.

Chen Xipu and his family from Dashizhuang Village, Xinji City, Hebei Province were persecuted for practicing Falun Gong. Chen Xipu was kidnapped many times. He lost count of the many fines extorted from him. Before New Year's Day 2003, policemen kidnapped Chen Xipu and his daughter and sent them to the city detention center. Chen Xipu was subsequently sentenced to 8 years in prison. His daughter Chen Su was sent to Shijiazhuang City Labor Education Center. Chen Xipu's wife was so scared she had a nervous breakdown. Chen Xipu's brother, Chen Xijian, and his wife, Zhang Zhe, were inhumanly tortured since April or May of 2001, when they were illegally detained at the Xinji Detention Center. At the end of 2003 Chen Xijian was illegally sentenced to 7-years in prison. His wife, Zhang Zhe, was sentenced to 8-years in prison, and was illegally detained at the Shijiazhuang City Second Prison.
