Practitioner Mr. Cao Yuqiang Dies as a Result of Persecution (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Mr. Cao Yuqiang was in his 40s and lived in Shanqian Village, Xudatun Town, Pulandian City, Liaoning Province. He suffered cruel persecution ever since July 20, 1999, when Jiang's group began persecuting Falun Gong. Mr. Cao was detained numerous times and savagely tortured. On January 26, 2003, police officers from Pulandian City Railroad Police Station arrested and sent him to Fengsong Police Station, and later to a detention center. Cao Yuqiang firmly resisted the persecution while at the detention center and held a 95-day hunger strike before he was unconditionally released. Sadly though, the tortures had severely injured him. He passed away at home at 6:00 p.m. on April 8, 2004, within one year after his release.

Accused of Broadcasting Documentary Programs on TV in Hebei Province, Mr. Cheng Fengxiang Has Bamboo Slivers Jammed Under His Fingernails

(Clearwisdom.net) Because of his alleged participation in broadcasting documentary programs about the persecution of Falun Gong on TV in the Shahe and Xingtai areas, Mr. Cheng Fengxiang from Yongnian County, Hebei Province, was arrested by local police led by the County Political and Security Section Head, Chen Jushan, on January 28, 2004. In order to obtain a reward for finding out the whereabouts of the equipment used for the TV broadcasts, the Criminal Police Squadron Captain, Yang Qingshe, tortured Cheng Fengxiang by jamming bamboo slivers under his fingernails. The scene of the torture shocked other policemen that were watching.

Ms. Zhang Kejuan of Rongcheng City, Shandong Province on Hunger Strike for 29 Days to Protest Unlawful Detention

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Kejuan of Rongcheng City, Shandong Province, was abducted on February 27, 2004, by policewoman Xing Jianping and others from the Political Security Section. She went on hunger strike to protest, and to date the hunger strike has continued for 29 days. Her life is in imminent danger.
