In order to obtain visas for 22 Falun Gong practitioners from Taiwan and one Chinese practitioner from Peru, one week before the opening of the first South America Falun Dafa Conference in Argentina, practitioners there paid numerous visits to relevant Argentinean diplomatic departments, and wrote a letter to President Kirchner.

An official at the presidential hall promised he would personally deliver the letter to the president. Customs officials at the Buenos Aires Airport detained one Chinese practitioner arriving from Peru. After learning the news, every practitioner started doing what they thought they should do. Several hours later, the diplomatic department notified us that they had started processing the visas for the Taiwanese practitioners, and soon they were approved. Later, the practitioner from Peru passed customs and successfully entered Argentina.
