Introducing Falun Dafa in a Western Company

(Clearwisdom.net) Several Western and Chinese Falun Dafa practitioners from New Jersey and Pennsylvania recently joined together at the workplace of a Western practitioner. There, they introduced Falun Dafa and explained the facts about the persecution in China. The Western practitioner works in the computer department of a large chemical company in southern New Jersey. Recognizing the goodness within this practitioner, many of her co-workers wanted to know more about her. They earnestly wanted to know why she is always cheerful, considerate and kind. They also noticed that she does not use any sick leave. One on one, this practitioner had previously talked to many fellow employees about how she has benefited from Dafa and its principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Her talks with co-workers helped her to realize that it was time to introduce Falun Dafa to the entire company, so that more people could benefit and have good thoughts about Falun Dafa.

To begin this project, she first explained the truth to the company's personnel director. At first, this person expressed concern that a presentation would contain political themes. After the practitioner assured the director that Falun Dafa is not involved with politics, authorization for the workshop was granted. The practitioner sought assistance from other surrounding area practitioners because the company employs many people. Several practitioners drove to the location of the workshop, giving up their lunch breaks.

Though the number of employees who attended was small, those who were there expressed their respect for Falun Dafa and its practitioners. Many of them clearly understood that Jiang's persecution of good people is unjust. One attendee wanted to know how the practitioners at the workshop first learned Falun Dafa. Questions were also raised about when practitioners started to study Dafa and how long the group practiced to synchronize the exercise movements. One employee and her husband, both from India, wanted to know when they could learn the exercises. Within the small group, Dafa's immense grace was felt.

Several weeks have past since the workshop, but the flyers announcing the workshop are still posted on bulletin boards throughout the company building. The flyer includes an illustration of several practitioners meditating and an explanation of Falun Dafa. Usually after an event, a staff person takes down announcements, but the Falun Dafa flyers are still posted for everyone who did not attend to see and read.
