1. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Huang Liling Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor
On the evening of April 14, 2004, personnel from the 610 Office in Guangzhou City and from the Tianhe District worked together and arrested five practitioners from the School of Environmental Protection in Guangdong Province. From the five arrested practitioners, teaching staff Ms. Huang Liling was sentenced to two years of forced labor for printing Falun Gong materials and was fired from her job; the other four practitioners' names and other details are unknown.
2. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Authorities at the Zhangjiatun Brainwashing Center Cruelly Torture Falun Dafa Practitioners
The authorities at the Zhangjiatun brainwashing center in Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province still brutally torture Falun Gong practitioners. Wang Yubao was beaten up to the point of being unable to walk; Ms. Gao Fen and Ms. Song Yuling were beaten so viciously that they were unable to stand and were barbarously force-fed every day.
3. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Police from Qingzhou City in Shandong Province Persecute Practitioners Dong Guilan and Dong Guiwen
Around 4:00 p.m. on November 11, 2004, the authorities from the police department in Qingzhou City and from the Koubu Town police precinct dispatched two police cars. More than ten police officers broke into the home of Ms. Dong Guilan in Koubu Town, confiscated Dafa books and arrested Dong Guilan. Now Dong Guilan is being held in Qingzhou City's Detention Center. Recently, the authorities from the police department contacted her family and demanded that they pay them ten thousand yuan.
Ms. Dong Guiwen from Zhujiazhuang in Koubu Town, Qingzhou City, was arrested in March 2004 and sent to Qingzhou City's Detention Center. She was sent to the Jinan City Women's Prison in September 2004. Dong Guiwen's husband died in a car accident in October. So when the family requested the prison authorities notify Dong [of her husband's death], they learned for the first time that Dong Guiwen was tortured so severely that she had become blind. She 'cannot function without assistance. Her family asked the prison' authorities for Ms. Dong's release, but the prison has not released her so far. Ms. Dong's three children have been left at home without anyone to care for them.
4. [Xiantao Area, Hubei Province] 610 Office Authorities Wantonly Arrest Practitioners to Prevent Them from Clarifying the Truth
On October 12, 2004, the "International Gymnastics Elite Invitation Tournament" was held in the Xiantao Area in Hubei Province. Fearing that practitioners would clarify the truth on a large scale during that period, the local 610 Office authorities started a far-ranging search and arrest of practitioners since September. Mr. Chen Yongbo, Ms. Luo and Ms. Wang Jun were abducted and have been forced to participate in the Wuhan Area brainwashing class in Hubei Province.
Mr. Chen Yongbo is a practitioner who had begun practicing Falun Gong in 1996. His older sister is also a practitioner. His sister suffered facial injury because of the persecution, but still refused to give up Falun Gong.
5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Shi Shengying Held in Shenyang City's Detention Center for Clarifying the Truth about Falun Gong
Ms. Shi Shengying is a 65-year-old practitioner from Tiexi District, Shenyang City. She was arrested by the local police authorities from the Tiexi District when clarifying the truth at Xinghua Park in the Tiexi District, Shenyang City on November 30, 2004. Now she is being' held in Shenyang City's Detention Center.
6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Liu Shuqin's Current Situation
Ms. Liu Shuqin from Shijiazhuang City was sentenced to three years of forced labor in November 2001. She ha's been through brainwashing, sleep deprivation, and other forceful "reform" measures for the past three years in the forced labor camp. Now she has' finished her term in the camp's Fifth Division, but has yet to be released back home. The police are plotting to send her to Hebei Province's brainwashing class for further persecution.
Since the Jiang regime started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, three members of her family suffered severe persecution and hardships. Aside from herself, her husband Wang Xinzhong is presently being held in the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp. Her daughter Wang Bo went back to school after being forced to undergo brainwashing, but still doesn't have personal freedom. Someone follows her all day and her speech and behavior are under close surveillance; even meeting with her family is controlled.
7. [Zhangjiachuan County, Gansu Province] Zhang Run and Hei Huiyu Still Detained After Their Terms Expired
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Run from Zhangjiachuan County has been held for eight months beyond the expiration date of his term, from April 1 to December 6, 2004. Ms. Hei Huiyu, an employee from Tianshui City's Xinghuo Factory, has been held 96 days beyond her term, from August 10 to December 6, 2004.
During this period, many fellow practitioners tried to get them released, including practitioners inside and outside of China who called responsible units. Practitioners also posted a large numbers of truth-clarifying signs and flyers on Binhe Road, Zhangjiachuan County. Practitioners from Tianshui City mailed truth-clarifying letters, and local practitioners clarified the truth face to face with people. Recently, local lawless personnel received orders from higher authorities to forbid overseas TV satellite receptions, and to monitor Internet caf s and forbid people to browse Falun Dafa related websites.

8. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Wang Jihong Sent to a Forced Labor Camp for Clarifying the Truth about Falun Dafa
On November 27, 2004, personnel from the Xinhua Police Station collaborated with personnel from Gulou District's Police Department and arrested practitioner Ms. Wang Jihong from Kaifeng City while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to people on Inner City Ring Road. The police subjected her to a body search and then ransacked her home and confiscated some truth-clarifying materials. Wang Jihong called out loudly to the public, "Falun Dafa is Great!"
Wang Jihong's husband passed away many years ago. She and her daughter depend on each other for survival. She runs a little store to support her daughter who is in high school. The mother and daughter lead a very poor life. The police know very well the situation of the mother and daughter, however, on November 30, 2004, they authorized the arrest of Wang Jihong and sentencing of one year of forced labor. They secretly sent Wang Jihong to the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City. Hearing the news, the daughter cried so hard her eyes became swollen. '

9. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] The Situation at Jinan City' Women's Prison
Jinan City' Women's Prison holds most of the women practitioners from Shandong Province who have been sentenced. After arrival, the first step is to brainwash practitioners in attempt to force them to give up Falun Gong. Practitioners are then divided and sent to different sections in the prison. Practitioners are forced to work. In summertime they work until 1:00 a.m., then they rise by 6:00 a.m. and continue to work. In the wintertime, they work until around 10:00 p.m. every day.
They use a point system and term-reduction methods there. As a result, in order to get points, the inmates work hard to persuade a practitioner who hasn't been "Reformed" to give up Falun Gong.
When visiting the practitioners, family members are not allowed to send a coat or any clothes with pockets, only underwear and sweaters. When a practitioner meets his/her family, a guard stands by and records their conversation. Groups of practitioners have been sent there with terms ranging from ten to twelve years.
10. [Liaoning Province] Cruel Tortures Practitioners Suffer at Wanjia Forced Labor Camp
In December 2001, I was sent to the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp simply because I practice Falun Gong. The moment I arrived, some Collaborators surrounded me and prevented me from talking with other steadfast practitioners. I staged a hunger strike. On the night of New Year's Eve they surrounding me and I started to eat.
In August 2002, the authorities began attempts to force practitioners to "reform." Warden Lu Zhenshan personally ordered the brainwashing. Male guards moved into the female practitioner's area and four male guards were assigned to a brainwashing class. They took turns around the clock to monitor practitioners. Immediately after they moved in, they searched our cells, tore open our quilts and rummaged through our clothing in the cabinets; they even cut open our sitting mats. We were forced to take off our clothes and only had on underwear; they even searched inside our bras. Later on they forced us to sit on little stools, wear badges, wear prisoners' clothes, count off when going out of a room, do their exercises, recite rules and write the so-called "Three Statements." As I refused to wear the badge, they forced me to squat. Then they took me to a dorm on the second floor and shocked my arms, hands and neck with electric batons and forcibly put a badge on me. When I reached to take it off, they shocked my hands.
Practitioner Ms. Huang Jing refused to recite the rules. Two male guards took her to a small cell and punched her in the face over 30 times. When she was taken back, her eyes, mouth and the whole face became swollen and turned black and blue. She felt dizzy, nauseous and vomited.
Practitioner Ms. Luo Hongyan, 52 years old, refused to recite the rules. She was pulled into a small cell, handcuffed behind the back and tied to a window frame. The guards repeatedly shocked her head, face, mouth, neck and feet with electric batons. They even put the batons inside her clothes to shock her. They shocked her with over 20 batons altogether. They shoved Luo Hongyan against the wall repeatedly so hard that the skin on her hands was torn off. She 'still refused to give in after three days of inhuman torture.
