1. [Jiexi, Guangdong Province] Huang Yangbo Died in 2001 from Being Persecuted
Mr. Huang Yangbo, 67, is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jiexi in Guangdong Province. In November 2000, he was detained for over a month at the local 709 Detention Center, for clarifying the truth. He was released after being subjected to all kinds of torture. Thereafter, the 610 Office continually harassed him and asked his family members to monitor him. Because of the torture and harassment, he died in July 2001.

Recently, officers from the 610 Office in Yantai City have arrested six Falun Dafa practitioners. Two of the practitioners had been detained in forced labor camps and did not yield to the pressure. They are Ms. Zhang Cuibo, 39, and another female practitioner from Qinghai Province whose name is unknown. The rest of the six practitioners include an elderly woman, a married couple in their forties, and a female practitioner about 40 years old. The female practitioner has been on a hunger strike since October 24, 2004.

3. [Qidong County, Hunan Province] Many Practitioners Are Sentenced to Prison
Several Qidong practitioners, including Mr. Zhang Xuanshou, Mr. Tan Bangyan, and Mr. Luo Lin were illegally sentenced to prison. Currently, they are being detained at a farm in Jing City in Hunan Province.
Xiao Yuanwen, a practitioner from Buyunqiao Town in Qidong County, was unlawfully sentenced to a seven-year prison term. Xiao is detained in the Chishan Prison in Yuanjiang City.

4. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Public Security Bureau Arrests Falun Dafa Practitioners in Large Numbers
The National Security Team of Jidong Public Security Bureau carried out a large-scale arrest of Falun Dafa practitioners on November 17, 2004. This occurred in the Donghai Mine area in Jixi City. Ms.Zhang Caihong, Ms. Wang Yuhe, Mr. Gu Jianmin and his wife, Ms. Li Yueqin and Ms. Liu Haiqiu were arrested.
Five practitioners from Donghai Township, including Mr. Li Chongjun were also arrested.

At 10:00 p.m. on November 1, 2004, Ms. Guan Yingrong was unlawfully arrested by the Wulajie Police Substation in the Longtan District of Jilin City. She is being detained at a location on Yueshanlu Road.

6. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] People from the 610 Office Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners
On October 19, 2004, Wu Lide, head of the 610 Office in Kaiping District, along with Li Guojun, deputy director of the Kaiping District Public Security Branch, and policemen from each police substation arrested Falun Dafa practitioners and searched their homes.
Twelve Falun Dafa practitioners including the couple Ms. Zhang Lifu and Mr. Li Zhen, Mr. Zhi Wenxue, Mr. Ding Hong'en, Mr. Zhang Wenliang, Ms. Zhang Junling, Ms. Zheng Chunlan, older practitioner with the surname Sun, young practitioner with the surname Wang, Zhang Limin, and a practitioner from Douhe were illegally arrested. Sixty copies of Zhuan Falun were confiscated at Li Zhen's home. All of the practitioners refused to sign any documents or have their photos taken. Several practitioners tore up the interrogation documents completed by the policemen. Li Guojun, deputy director of Kaiping District Public Security Branch, brutally beat the practitioners.
On October 21, the practitioners were taken to the Tangshan First Detention Center. When the twelve practitioners refused to allow their fingerprints to be taken, two policemen grabbed one practitioner's arms from behind, slapped their face, and dragged them back by the hair.
In the basement of the Kaiping Public Security Branch, the practitioners held a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. Three days later, they were forcibly taken to the detention center. On the way there, practitioners opened the windows of the vehicles and shouted loudly to the people "Falun Dafa is good!" when they passed a toll booth or overpass. Many people witnessed the amazing scene. Three policemen then pushed the practitioners down to the floor inside the vehicle and beat them.

7. [Dadong City, Shanxi Province] Li Fengzhi Is Sentenced to Eighteen Months of Forced Labor
On November 4, 2004, Ms. Li Fengzhi from Dadong City was arrested at her daughter's home by policemen from the Yunquan Public Security Branch. She was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor and detained in the Taiyuan Women's Labor Camp.

Ms. Song Zonghua from Hongmei Town of Hekou City was arrested at around 3:00 p.m. on November 17, 2004. Meng Xiangmin, director of Hongmei Public Security Branch, was involved in the arrest.

9. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Kong Guangfu Is Arrested
On November 15, 2004, Mr. Kong Guangfu from Qufu, Ms. Kong Ju and her father, and Ms. Lei Jihong were followed and then arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. Policemen from the Qufu City Beiguan Police Substation are responsible for the arrest. Presently, Kong Guangfu and Kong Ju are being detained in the Qufu Detention Center, while Lei Jihong is being detained in the Yanzhou Detention Center.

10. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Wang Chenglin Is Illegally Sentenced to Eleven Years in Prison
Mr. Wang Chenglin, who is in his forties, was born in Qingdao City. He started practicing Falun Gong in 2000 and benefited both physically and spiritually. He was illegally detained twice by police in Qingdao City and subjected to brutal torture. After he was released, he became homeless to avoid further persecution. He went to Anqiu City in November 2002, where he was arrested by the Anqiu Public Security Bureau. After he was extorted out of 10,000 yuan, he was released. In April 2003, he was sentenced to an eleven-year prison term for distributing truth-clarification materials, and he is now incarcerated in the Jinan Prison. For the past half year, his relatives have not been allowed to visit him. It is not known whether he is dead or alive.
11. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Two Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Arrested
On October 18, Mr. Su Jicheng from Baoding City was arrested by people from Chaoyang Public Security Branch and the Tian'e Police Substation. He is being held in the Baiding Detention Center.
Ms. Suo Guihua from Handan City was arrested on November 7 while explaining the truth of Falun Dafa to the people of Nanshangsong Village in Handan County. She is currently detained in the Handan Detention Center.
12. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Zhang Zhiguo Is Abducted
Mr. Zhang Zhiguo, from Lingshan District of Anshan City, was illegally taken to the Mingyueshan Detention Center on November 14. His whereabouts are unknown at this time.

Ms. Wang Yuhuan is being detained in the Forced Labor Central Hospital in Changchun City. Her life is in great danger due to torture. The hospital agreed to release her on bail for medical treatment, but she must first pay all the medical expenses and other related expenses.

14. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Police Illegally Arrest Two Falun Dafa Practitioners
Around 10:00 a.m. on November 16, 2004, Tian Pei, director of the Wangfuzhan Police Substation, together with several policemen, broke into Ms. Liu Yanqiu's home. They pried open the door and ransacked her home. They then went to the store operated by Liu Yanqiu and her family. They searched the store and confiscated her Falun Dafa books and materials. After that, they arrested her. On the same day, the police arrested Ms. Zhang Yanling. Currently, Liu Yanqiu and Zhang Yanling are detained in the Qianguo County Detention Center and are being subjected to torture.
Zhang Yanling's husband frequently attempted to persuade his wife to give up her cultivation of Falun Dafa. Liu Yanqiu tried to explain the truth to him, but he did not listen. Instead, he intended to send her back to her parents' home and get divorced. He even reported Liu Yanqiu to the local police substation.

15. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Guo Zhaoyong Holds a Hunger Strike to Protest the Torture
Mr. Guo Zhaoyong, 30, also named Xinyu, lives in Balizhuang, Xuzhuang Township, Xin County of Liaocheng City, Shandong Province. For the past four years, he has been destitute and homeless because of the persecution. In early October 2004, he was arrested along with another practitioner while walking. He was transferred to Liaocheng City, where he was interrogated and tortured. He is currently detained in the Liaocheng National Security Bureau. He has been on a hunger strike for over a month, protesting against the illegal detention and torture. During the hunger strike, he was force-fed many times. Currently, Guo Zhaoyong is extremely weak, and is unable to walk or open his eyes.

16. [Guanghai City, Sichuan Province] Two Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Formally Arrested for Not Giving up Their Beliefs
On September 28, seven practitioners, including Ms. Zhang Juying, Ms. Huang Ruoxiu, Ms. Liao Wuxiang, and Ms. Yang Erjie were reported and then arrested by police from the Jifeng Town Police Substation in Zhongjiang County. Later, they were sent to the Zhongjiang County Detention Center. In early November, five of them were released unconditionally, while Ms. Zhang Juying and Ms. Liao Wuxiang were formally arrested.

17. [Leihe City, Henan Province] Many Falun Dafa Practitioners are Arrested
Personnel from the 610 Office in Leihe City have arrested many Falun Dafa practitioners. As far as we know, Ms. An Yinling, Ms. Liu Fenglian, Ms. Wang Lingxia, and An Heliu were among those arrested. An Heliu is being detained in the Yancheng Detention Center. The practitioners are subjected to torture for steadfastly practicing Falun Dafa.
Ms. Zhou Aiying and Liu Guobao were abducted while distributing truth clarification materials on November 8. They are currently detained in the Leihe Detention Center.

18. [Xiamen City, Fujian Province] Zhong Huaguang Is Wrongfully Detained
In April 2004, Mr. Zhong Huaguang, who is in his sixties, was reported while distributing a truth-clarifying postcard to a young man near a department store by the railway station. Local security guards and policemen unlawfully arrested him. Several other practitioners were implicated because of his arrest. They are Mr. Zhang Jiaxin, 78; Mr. Gao Naixin, who is in his sixties; Ms. Lin Sujin, in her sixties; Ms. Zhu Nianchun, 26; and Mr. Xu Guoping, 27.
19. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Arrested
On November 14, 2004, Ms. Xu Yanfang, Ms. Cui Limei, and Ms. Su Yanfang, from Tuwu Village, went to Zhonggong to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. They were arrested by local police and taken to the Nanjiao Police Substation in the Central District of Jinan City. Later, they were transferred to the Liuchangshan Brainwashing Class held by the 610 Office in Jinan City. The police asked Xu Yanfang's and Cui Limei's relatives to pay 3,000 yuan. As for Su Yanfang, no one knows her whereabouts.
