(Clearwisdom.net) Huang Yanying, a Falun Gong practitioner, was formerly an undergraduate student in the Information and Electronic Technology School at the University of Jiamusi. Because she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa, she was expelled from school on March 16, 2000.
In June 2000, Ms. Huang returned to the school and applied to resume her studies but was rejected. In December 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for her request to return to school, which was known by the head of the university. Her family members talked with the head of the university on the phone, but their requests were also refused.
In October 2004, after three years of imprisonment in a labor camp, Huang Yanying, with her mother, went to the school again and asked to be allowed to return. However, on October 13, 14 and 15, Chief Fan from the Appeals Section and Chief Zhang from "610 Office" at the university used various means to prevent them from meeting with Zhang Shaojie, Party Committee Secretary of the university. They didn't give Ms. Huang any response or administration decision. They claimed that if Huang Yanying would not give up her belief in Falun Gong, then they would not discuss anything with her. Chief Zhang from the "610 Office" did not provide any document stating their decision and claimed that there was no decision. All that was shown was the documentation of Ms. Huang being expelled from school in 2000. He even asked her to get a "transformation certificate" from her local authorities to state that she had renounced Falun Gong. He also said that if Ms. Huang did not give up her belief, it was impossible for her to go back to school.
Seeing there was no way for Huang Yanying to return to school, her mother had to move her daughter's residence and student status back to the place of her birth. On the application to change student status, where it asked for the reason, Ms. Huang wrote: "Because I practice Falun Gong, I was forced to withdraw from school. I have applied to return to school but was rejected, thus I must apply to leave school." The dean of the school, the chief of Financial Division and the chief of Education Administration Division all signed the form. But Party Secretary Wang Xianzhang took away the forms, refusing to sign them, and asked Ms. Huang to fill out another application without stating the reason for being expelled from the school. They went completely against proper procedure, with the intension of escaping responsibility and destroying the evidence.
