Recently, it was rumored on the Internet that the new Chinese leadership is discussing the issue of clearing Falun Gong's name, and Jiang Zemin himself proposed that a number of police officers be executed to appease the general population, similar to what was done after the Cultural Revolution. According to an inside source in Beijing, this was not groundless hearsay. So if the Chinese government really does clear Falun Gong's name before the Fa rectifies the human world, how should we Dafa practitioners look at this issue with righteous thoughts?
1. Clearly recognize the true nature of this persecution and "clearing Falun Gong's name"
As Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, it is extremely important for us to keep a clear, rational mindset, regard the Fa as the teacher from beginning to end, and look at things from a cultivator's extraordinary perspective during the crucial period before the Fa rectifies the human world, when changes are constantly happening.
Maybe the Communist Party's clearing Falun Gong's name was one of the steps arranged by the old forces, but it absolutely cannot be acknowledged by Fa-rectification. Jiang Zemin, the head evil in the human world, clamored at the beginning of this persecution, "I just don't believe that the Party can't defeat Falun Gong." In the five years since July 20, 1999 when the comprehensive persecution was made public, Jiang has used the Party to persecute Falun Gong. Not only has Jiang committed unredeemable crimes, the Party itself cannot escape from the responsibility of the crimes, either.
Looking at it from the human level, Falun Gong never should have been persecuted or suppressed, so clearing Falun Gong's name should rightfully be done, and it has this positive aspect: Master's fundamental goal in Fa-rectification is to save as many beings as possible, including as many people of the world as possible. The action of clearing Falun Gong's name can help in sending a clear message that it was absolutely wrong for Jiang to use the Party and all of the government's strength to suppress Falun Gong, and this can play a positive role in helping people who are deceived by lies to see the truth. However, this can only be seen as a good deed by the people who pushed for clearing Falun Gong's name: Heaven's principles cannot tolerate the villainous group led by Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang working with the Party to do this. Their enormous crimes are just too huge, and all of the lies, slander, and framing against Falun Gong and the brutal murder of many innocent Falun Gong practitioners were carried out by the Jiang faction using the Party.
Because of its vicious nature, this persecution was destined to fail from the very beginning. Many people predicted this when the persecution was openly begun in 1999. Countless Falun Gong practitioners also pointed this out through appeals, open letters, publishing articles, and other methods. The topic of clearing Falun Gong's name has now come up because on one hand, the evil is being eliminated in large quantities and therefore has difficulty sustaining the persecution, and on the other hand, many people have learned the truth and are sounding their voices of justice--they have stood up to condemn this bloody persecution. The rapid progress of Fa-rectification arriving is being manifested in the human world.
If ordinary people want to step forward and clear Falun Gong's name, they will be positioning themselves well and doing a good deed for the country. They will be doing what a conscientious, rational Chinese citizen should do. However, their personal actions will not cancel out the countless crimes that Jiang has committed by using the Party. Because of this, once Falun Gong's name is cleared, Dafa practitioners should not think like ordinary people, such as seeing it as a positive example of the Party's "perpetual righteousness" and of the Party's courage to admit its own mistakes, and even less should it be regarded as a favor done for us by a particular person or Party. Facing the Fa, any being only has the right to choose how to position himself or herself.
2. There is no exception to Heaven's principle of goodness being rewarded and evildoing being punished
Falun Gong is a form of cultivation, and Falun Gong practitioners are cultivators. They have no interest in any government or political Party in this world, nor do they oppose any political Party or political power. However, whether it is an individual, Party, organization or business entity, as long as they have participated in the persecution, they will have to take responsibility for the consequences, except those who can completely make up for it, because Heaven's principle of goodness being rewarded and evildoing being punished will never change.
Although Jiang's faction or the Party wants to copy the way that the Cultural Revolution was ended, executing a number of police officers as scapegoats so that the perpetrators will escape justice, Heaven's principle will not allow it. This is because Jiang, his core group, and those following these people for the sake of personal gain like various levels of "610 Office" members, National Security Bureau officers, local police, and court, public prosecutor and judicial officials each have inescapable culpability for helping to establish, propagate, and carry out the annihilation policy of "destroying their reputation, cutting them off financially and eliminating them physically" against Falun Gong.
3. Help people tell right from wrong and good from evil through [understanding] the persecution of Falun Gong
Speaking from another level, stopping the persecution is not our end goal in resisting the persecution and clarifying the truth. From the perspective of clearing Falun Gong's name, this should both end the persecution and rectify the principles in ordinary society--rewarding goodness and punishing evil, bringing all of the criminals to justice; promoting the good and suppressing the evil, and encouraging people to understand Truth-Compassion-Tolerance and Falun Gong positively--only then will clearing Falun Gong's name have a true significance.
According to Heaven's principles, those who persecuted Dafa can't just be let go once they stop. The Gods will make them suffer endless punishments in hell because their crimes are too great, and Gods cannot allow people to do evil at will and bring ruin to the world.
From a human perspective, under the direction of four head villains--Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang--so many Dafa practitioners have been beaten to death, injured and disabled from torture, had their homes repeatedly ransacked, fined huge amounts of money, and fired from their jobs. So many people had their means to make a living taken away and their families broken apart. Jiang's group has done so many bad things, it's not something that can be wiped away by saying, "We'll stop" or "Your name is cleared." Even when the persecution ends, practitioners who were tortured to death have lost their lives forever and cannot return to the world; those who have been persecuted to the point of losing everything, including their families, and have suffered things that have made this a hell on earth for them should be thoroughly compensated. If people were allowed to commit crimes to no end and then have it be wiped away as soon as they stop, this would be setting the world's worst possible example by encouraging the loss of morality, justice, and conscience.
From a legal perspective, the Constitution of China, Chinese laws and international laws serve as the standard by which we judge those who are charged with upholding the law and yet violate the law or intentionally flout the law. Punishing those who commit crimes according to the law is precisely the purpose of the law in the first place--to uphold righteousness and justice. Tolerating the evil is actually harming what is good and kind.
From a cultivation perspective, our efforts since 1996, when the persecution was carried out behind the scenes till today, were not just aimed at alleviating and stopping the persecution against the Falun Gong practitioners, so we should not think that everything is finished when the persecution comes to an end, and we shouldn't feel relieved or grow complacent, much less become overjoyed by it. Falun Gong's principle, "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance," is a moral principle that will only benefit and never harm any country, group or individual, and it should never be slandered or trampled upon at will by any human being. The fact that "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance" is widely persecuted in China exposes the sad and deplorable extent of the Chinese people's conscience being worn away and extinguished by a series of political movements. Heaven's principles dictate that such a group of people who do not distinguish between right and wrong and do as the evil says cannot possibly have a bright future. Even if the persecution is completely stopped, we still cannot let up, as we must help the world's people clearly distinguish between good and evil through exposing this persecution that Falun Gong has suffered, and help them clearly understand the compounding moral pollution and damage the persecution has brought upon Chinese society and to the whole world, so that everyone will remember and learn from this harsh lesson in history.
4. Punish the head perpetrators
The Falun Gong practitioners' request to bring to justice the four head perpetrators responsible for the persecution--Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang, as well as National Security Bureau special agents, local police officers, and "610 Office" personnel who are still persecuting Falun Gong secretly even now while feeling secure in their actions--is in accordance with Heaven's principles, from a human perspective and the country's laws. If only a show is put on and a group of police officers who don't have connections in high places are pushed forward to be executed, without punishing the head perpetrators and compensating Dafa practitioners and their families for their losses, it can't really be called "clearing Falun Gong's name" and will only be a tactic to win public support and international approval--a symbolic action carried out for show. However, the one hundred million persecuted Dafa practitioners and their families will not be fooled, and Dafa practitioners outside of China will not let up or stop exposing the persecution perpetrated by the head perpetrators Jiang, Luo, Liu, and Zhou through using the Party, or the damage it has caused.
Recently, Master has published several scriptures in a row requiring Dafa disciples to "give up human mentalities" and to "have more righteous thoughts." Master has said in numerous Fa lectures that this persecution is not human beings persecuting other human beings. It is very important for us as Dafa disciples to understand this point. Nothing happening in ordinary society can move us or stop us from validating Dafa and saving sentient beings. As long as the evil still exists and Fa-rectification has not ended, we Dafa disciples will continue to expose the persecution, clarify the truth and call to "bring Jiang Zemin to justice, bring Luo Gan to justice, bring Zhou Yongkang to justice, and bring Liu Jing to justice."
Let us remember what Master said,
"Dafa disciples are walking a divine path. Don't be affected by shifts in the ordinary world, seize the day to clarify the truth, save the world's people, clean out the rotten demons, and keep your thoughts and actions righteous. The Dafa disciples in Mainland China, more than anyone, should step up their efforts and do well the things they are supposed to do, staying always diligent." ("Greetings")
