(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhao Mi, a teacher at Shuren University in Zhejiang, has been wanted by the Hangzhou City police ever since she escaped from a police station in 2001. For the past two and half years Ms. Zhao has been forced to live a life of homelessness, constantly moving from place to place. In March 2004, she was arrested in Wuhu City, Anhui Province and has been detained ever since.

Zhao Mi started to practice Falun Dafa in April 1999, which brought about fundamental changes to her mind and body. Seeing the positive changes in Ms. Zhao, her family wholeheartedly supported her practice.

After the persecution began, Zhao Mi went to Beijing to validate Dafa in 2000. Upon her return home, she was detained for one month. Ten thousand yuan (1) in "fines" were extorted from her family. Since her husband was preparing to study abroad at the time, she could not go along with him and she and their young daughter had to stay at home.

Zhao Mi graduated from the Chemical Engineering Department of Zhejiang University, and worked as a teacher at Shuren University in Zhejiang. After the persecution began, the university did not allow her to teach anymore. In September 2001, policemen from the Westlake Police Station came to search her house, and later took her to the police station to interrogate her. During the interrogation, Ms. Zhao managed to leave the police station with the help of righteous thoughts. In the two and a half years since then, she was forced to constantly move from place to place in order to avoid arrest.

After Zhao Mi escaped from the police station, she appeared on nationwide "Most Wanted" lists. When the police found out that she had been to her sister's home, they detained her sister for two weeks. Her parents were also threatened and interrogated numerous times. They were required to report their daily cost of living to the police to prevent them from helping Zhao Mi financially. Even her uncle had to give a deposition. All of her classmates and teachers were informed that she was wanted. The police in Hangzhou spent hundreds of thousands of yuan in order to catch Ms. Zhao.

In March 2004, when Zhao Mi was in Wuhu City, Anhui Province, she was betrayed by someone who does not know the true situation of Falun Gong. The Hangzhou police, working together with the Wuhu police, immediately dispatched many officers to conduct a door-to-door search. On March 12, 2004 policemen illegally arrested Ms. Zhao in a rented apartment in Wuhu and transferred her to the Hangzhou Detention Center.

Zhao Mi's daughter is only 6 years old but she was torn from the care of her parents and placed in a relative's home.

Police officers involved in Zhao Mi's persecution include Zhu Xiaoming, Xie Liang and Wu Jian. The policemen who are directly in charge of the case are Xie Liang and Wu Jian. Zhu Xiaoming was in charge of persecuting Falun Gong when he worked as a deputy director of the Westlake Area Political Security Office. He sent many practitioners to labor camps and prisons, including Professor Pan Kaixiang from Zhejiang University. Zhu Xiaoming was directly responsible for Zhao Mi being forced to leave her home. Since then, Zhu Xiaoming was assigned to another job and was often tormented by illness. Xie Liang has taken over Zhu's former post.

Many practitioners have been illegally detained, sent to prisons and forced labor camps and are constantly monitored by the authorities.
