(Clearwisdom.net) These Fa-rectification stories occurred during the autumn of 2000 in Heilongjiang Forced Labor Camp.

1. Rescuing a fellow practitioner

In October 2000, a recently captured male fellow practitioner turned off the high volume speaker that was broadcasting slanderous information against Falun Dafa, and then pulled out and destroyed its cassette. The prison officers consequently transferred him from his own cell, where other Falun Dafa practitioners were, to a cell that was filled with criminal inmates, and prepared to torture him. We practitioners decided that we should not allow this brave practitioner to be tortured, so we gathered together in our respective corridors. Then, a male practitioner shouted from the upper floor, "Falun Dafa is great! Falun Dafa is righteous! Dafa is innocent! Teacher is innocent!" This was followed by a shout from a female practitioner in the opposite corridor. The practitioners below, who have been detained for a long time, heard the shouting. Despite not knowing what had happened above, they joined the other practitioners to validate Dafa (1). At that time, on both floors, all practitioners were shouting, and then everyone even recited poems from Hongyin (2) together. Our voices reverberated throughout the whole building, and the police officers did not know what to do. They immediately sent our fellow practitioner back to our cell, and he was not subjected to any further punishment.

2. Group exercise

In October of 2000, when practitioners were on a hunger strike, the prison officers attempted to force us to stop the hunger strike by gathering us in the courtyard for an admonishment. We arrived at the courtyard, lined up neatly, and proceeded to practice the second Falun Dafa exercise. Our actions were tranquil, neat and dignified. The surrounding prison officers were dumbfounded. They helplessly and quietly watched everyone finish their exercises without uttering a single word. This again was an instance where righteous thoughts triumphed over the evil. The prison officers have not admonished us since then.

3. Hanging banners together and shouting, "Falun Dafa is great!"

On November 27, 2000, some practitioners suggested that since those practitioners who were not imprisoned were validating Dafa outside, we should also be doing the same thing inside the prison. Female practitioners sewed red cloth pouches together into banners of different sizes, and cut words from pieces of yellow cloth. With great effort, they even managed to sew a big Falun onto some of the banners. It took them only one night to finish making all the banners. The next morning, we opened our windows, and hung our dazzling banners during the most crowded time of day. Even the door of my room had, "The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos," written in red by some fellow practitioners.

There were many construction workers working outside the Longshan Labor Camp, so we took the opportunity when we were lining up for food in the courtyard, to shout, "Falun Dafa is great!" with all our heart. The construction workers who were outside the tall walls heard our shouting. In reply, they also shouted, "Falun Dafa is great!" Our voices from the courtyard echoed with those outside. The prison officers asked, "Why do you shout?" It was obvious that they could not understand the minds of cultivators.

4. The lawsuit against Jiang Zemin

In the autumn of 2000, among the Falun Dafa practitioners from the Shenyang area who were detained at the Longshan Labor Camp, some were as old as seventy, and some as young as fifteen or sixteen years old. There were even some toddlers who had been abducted and forced into the camp along with their parents (these toddlers were later taken back home by family members). There was also a practitioner who was about to give birth, and some practitioners with disabilities who needed assistance walking. All of us were detained there only because we had spoken a sentence of truth, "Falun Dafa is great!" to the government. The labor camp also demanded so-called "living expenses" from our family members that could amount from hundreds to thousands of yuan per person (500 yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China).

Not knowing when we would be released, we shared our experiences together. We clearly knew that it was the government that committed the crimes and Jiang Zemin was the ultimate offender. As the one who is behind every aspect of the persecution, it is Jiang who needs to be brought to justice in the court of law. Within a short time, we managed to figure out more than ten different types of national laws that Jiang had broken, and some practitioners actually wrote down the details of these crimes. We then signed a legal document, a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, and solemnly handed it to the prison officers in charge, asking them to submit the document to their superiors.

5. Zhuan Falun is my life!

There was a sixty-year-old female practitioner by the surname of Zheng reading Zhuan Falun (3) in her prison cell. She was noticed by male prison officer Shen Yi, who immediately tried to snatch her book away. (This officer often snuck into the female sleeping quarters during the night.) This practitioner, setting aside her own safety, snatched the book back, holding it tightly in her arms. The officer, a young man in his thirties, then began beating up the sixty-year-old female practitioner and trying to snatch the book back. Despite her exhaustion, he still could not manage to wrestle the book from her hands. The practitioner declared, "This book is my life and I won't give it to you even if I die." At this moment, other practitioners, one by one, stood around this female practitioner to protect her. Seeing how determined everyone was, Shen Yi grew discouraged and left.

Before long, the director of her workplace came to talk to her, telling her, "You have to choose either Falun Dafa or being a Party member." The practitioner, who had been the model worker in her workplace for decades, instantly replied, "I choose Falun Dafa." This practitioner has suffered the loss of her son and she has had to take care of many things at home. The prison officers located her family members and forced them to use tears and pleading to try to persuade their relative to give up Falun Dafa. The practitioner, however, was not moved by this show of sentimentality. A day later, she appeared to have serious illness-like symptoms and was sent home immediately. Are they capable of detaining a practitioner like her?
