(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wang Yu is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. She is detained in Longshan Forced Labor Camp. Her family recently went to the labor camp to ask for her release. They also went to the authorities to appeal. Her family was determined, and they stated that they would continue until the persecution ceases.

When the labor camp tortured Ms. Gao Rongrong, Ms. Wang Yu and several other practitioners went on a hunger strike in protest. By September 24, 2004, Ms. Wang had been on a hunger strike for 40 days. On September 27, eight people from her family went to the labor camp and asked for her to be released. They broke through the guards' obstruction, and the family went looking for the camp management. The guards tried to stop them and took them to the office building. They met assistant director Zhang Feng. The family told him seriously that they would accuse them of murder if she died, and if they released her when she was dying, the family would not accept it or allow them to stay clean of the crimes. The two sides could not reach an agreement and the two older people stayed while the others left. About two hours later, the guards forced the two older people out the gate.

In the afternoon of September 28, the family went to Beijing to appeal. On September 29, the two seniors (non-practitioners) arrived in Beijing with the help and accompaniment of several younger family members. After some setbacks, they met a kind-hearted taxi driver. After knowing that they wanted to go to the Appeals Office of the Department of State, the driver understood the action for justice by Falun Gong practitioners' families and criticized Jiang Zemin's faction. The driver told the seniors that those people around the Zhongnanhai Police Station were from every province, and their job was to block people from appealing. They drove vehicles with Beijing licenses.

The two seniors successfully arrived at the gate of the Appeals Office, which is now located in Xuanwu District. The people who were sent to block appeals were not to be seen, so more people came to appeal. Most of them sat on the floor. A man with worn-out clothes who looked like he had been appealing for a long time said to them, "How did you come here? They block people from appealing. Those hatchet men from Shandong Province, Liaoning Province, Heilongjiang Province and Hebei Province beat up people fiercely! Several days ago, a young man was beaten to death at the gate." At this time, a male stranger impatiently asked where they came from and whether they were together. Under the circumstances the two seniors had to leave.

Ms. Wang Yu's family eventually delivered their appeal materials to the Central Appeals Office. A man who appeared to be an official met with Ms. Wang's family members and took down their phone number. They went home safely. After returning from Beijing, Ms. Wang Yu's family didn't just wait around. They were determined and continued seeking the related departments to request the immediate release of Ms. Wang. They will not stop until the day that the persecution ends.
