1. [Qing'an County, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Lu Guiqin Arrested; Ms. Chen Jie Falls from a Building
Since the authorities in Qing'an County started a mass arrest campaign on May 11, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Chen Jie and Ms. Lu Guiqin were put into the Qing'an County Detention Center. However, they walked out of the detention center after staging a hunger strike. On the morning of September 15, police arrested Lu Guiqin from home again. It is not clear at this time why Chen Jie fell from the third floor of a building. She may have jumped in an attempt to avoid further torture and brainwashing in police custody, or the police may have pushed her out the window. It is not known whether she is alive or not.
On the morning of September 15, while a person was passing by the west side of the County Forestry Bureau's residential buildings, they saw a middle-aged woman fall from a third floor; her nose and mouth started to bleed right away. The scene was terrible and it looked as if she was already dead. Soon after a crowd of people surrounded her. People thought she fell off the building while cleaning the windows. It was found out later she was Falun Dafa practitioner Chen Jie. The police arrested practitioner Lu Guiqin who lived in the same building. Detailed information of Ms. Chen's condition needs to be further investigated.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Zhaohui is Abducted by Perpetrators from the Jiutai Forced Labor Camp After His Term Expired; His Life is Endangered
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Zhaohui was sentenced to three years of forced labor in the Jiutai Forced Labor Camp only because he persists in his belief. His term expired on August 7, 2004, but he is still being held there, because he refused to renounce Falun Dafa. In order to force him to give up his belief, the personnel at the camp put him into a "strictly monitored" cell from June 12 to August 25, and forced him to sit on a stool from 4:30 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. with his hands on top of his lap and with his back straight. As a result Wang Zhaohui felt light-headed and weary all over. In addition, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. on August 22, 2004, guards Wang Shuyu and Tian Dejun punched and kicked Wang Zhaohui until he was dizzy, exhausted and had blood in his urine. His life was in danger.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Ding Zhenfang Cruelly Tortured
In 1999, practitioner Ding Zhenfang from Dalian City was arrested and sentenced to three years in the Dabei Prison, Shenyang City, in violation of the Chinese Constitution. During that time she was inhumanly beaten and tortured. She was once tied to a "Dead Person's Bed " for 40 consecutive days. She was forbidden to wear warm clothes in the winter, and was forced to wear a cotton-padded hat and heavy clothes in the summer. In 2003 Ms. Ding was once again arrested and put into the Yaojia Forced Labor Camp in Dalian City. Ding Zhenfang firmly resisted the persecution by staging a hunger strike. In the process she was tortured with excruciating methods including being tied to a metal ring on the ground, being tied to a "Dead Person's Bed" and being brutally force-fed. On the 49th day of her hunger strike her life was in peril. For fear of being held responsible for her death, the police released her. When her family members went to pick her up, they saw that Ding Zhenfang's face was swollen, deformed, and black and blue from the severe beatings.
On August 11, 2004, Ding Zhenfang was again arrested while clarifying the Falun Dafa truth to people on a bus. She is currently being held at the Yaojia Forced Labor Camp.
4. [Changling County, Jilin Province] Arrest of Song Guohua; His/Her Whereabouts are Unknown
Personnel from the "610 Office " of Changling County arrested practitioner Song Guohua. They have not yet released Song and Song Guohua's whereabouts are unknown.
5. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Zhang Guoliang Is Now Being Held in the Zhuhai District Brainwashing Class
6. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Arrest of Practitioner Liu Yuchun As She Was Distributing Truth Clarifying Materials
Around 4:00 p.m. on September 10, 2004, three officers from the Nanguan "110 Police" (1) arrested 55-year-old practitioner Ms. Liu Yuchun. Someone had reported her. Ms. Liu lives in Yunxi Community, Jiaozhou City. The arrest happened when she was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials at a Jiaozhou Business Center. When the authorities were trying to pull her into the police car, Liu Yuchun protested the illegal arrest and kept shouting "Falun Dafa Is Great!"
Liu Yuchun is now being held in the Nanguan Police Precinct.
7. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Arrest of Six Practitioners and Incarceration in the City Brainwashing Class
On September 16, 2004, personnel from the Luoyang City "610 Office" in Henan Province arrested six practitioners and put them into a brainwashing class. Main responsible persons: Niu Xianmin, Liu He, Liu Shibin.
8. [Bei'an City, Heilongjiang Province] Persecution of Practitioner Liang Lihua
Practitioner Ms. Liang Lihua obtained Falun Dafa in December 1998. On April 28, 2004 someone reported her to the local police when she was distributing truth-clarifying materials. That afternoon, personnel from the Zhaoguang Town Police Department in Bei'an City, Heilongjiang Province arrested her from home. Team head Sun Yaping shocked her with an electric baton. Due to her persistence in cultivation practice, police officers sent her to the Bei'an City Detention Center. Afterwards, the Bei'an City police authorities extorted 6,000 yuan (2) from her family and then released her.
9 [Tianjin City] Arrest of Practitioners Wang Junxiao and Wang Junyue
On September 11, 2004, the Tanggu District Police authority in Tianjin City arrested practitioners Wang Junxiao and Wang Junyue and put them into a detention center. They have never done anything to violate the law, but were arrested merely for wanting freedom of belief.
10. [Shengyang City, Liaoning Province] Arrest of Practitioner Xiao Lixin
During noon on September 16, 2004, officers from the Dadong Police Precinct arrested practitioner Ms. Xiao Lixin at Tiexi District of Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. Between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on that day, Zhang, a female police officer from the Dadong Police Precinct and some male officers from the Nanqi Police Precinct came to Xiao Lixin's home and ransacked it. When Xiao Lixin's child protested the illegal arrest, police Zhang angrily said, "You had better cooperate with us because your mother is in our custody!" The child said, "You are threatening me! Are you actually a police officer? You act like a robber!"
11. [Zhenlai County, Jilin Province] Arrest of Four Practitioners
During the afternoon of August 28, 2004, personnel from the National Security Team in Zhenlai County, Jilin Province ransacked practitioners' homes. They arrested four practitioners and detained them at the Zhenlai County Detention Center, Jilin Province.

12. [Huichun County, Jilin Province] Arrest of Practitioner Huang Jiazhen
In 2001, practitioner Ms. Huang Jiazhen from Huichun County's Forestry Bureau, Jilin Province left home to avoid the consequences of the illegal persecution. Her husband divorced her for her determination to practice Falun Gong. Later on, Huang went back to Huichun County, but because she refused to write the so-called "Guarantee Statement," officials from the Forestry Bureau sent her to a detention center in 2004. Huang Jiazhen held righteous thoughts and did not cooperate with the illegal requests, but was nevertheless sent to Changchun City's Heizuizi Labor Camp. Her present situation is unknown.
13. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Arrest of Practitioners Peng Guiling and Wang Xiuzhi
During the evening of September 17, 2004, plainclothes policemen from Binzhou City deceived two practitioners, Ms. Peng Guiling and Ms. Wang Xiuzhi from the Shengli Oil Field, to come to the No. 3 Middle School and arrested them, after the two practitioners were clarifying the truth to the people at the Binzhou Shopping Center.
14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Arrest of Practitioner Wen Zhifang As She Was Clarifying the Truth of Falun Gong
On September 12, 2004, when practitioner Ms. Wen Zhifang, an employee of Harbin City's Coal Industry Company, was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong, Lu Guocheng, the company's "610 Office" chief followed and arrested her.
Currently, Wen Zhifang is detained at Yilan County's No.2 Detention Center. She is going on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. Since July 22, 1999, local policemen and the company's leaders have constantly persecuted Wen Zhifang. She has been sent to a detention center many times for refusing to give up her belief in Falun Dafa, and for going to Beijing to appeal or clarifying the truth.

15. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] Arrest of Practitioner Wang Zhiping
Policeman Wang Shouliang from the Political and Security Section of the Quanyang Forestry Police Precinct has unlawfully and frequently arrested many practitioners. At about 10:00 a.m. on July 13, 2004, he led several policemen and broke into practitioner Wang Zhiping's house and handcuffed Wang Zhiping without any reason. They searched Wang Zhiping's house and confiscated many Dafa materials. Because Wang Zhiping refused to cooperate with the evildoers, the policemen forcibly lifted Wang Zhiping into a police car and sent him/her directly to Fusong County's Detention Center.
Wang Zhiping went on a hunger strike to protest the detention and now has the symptoms of heart disease.

16. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Correction Regarding Information about the Arrest of Practitioner Tan Xianfu
Correction: On March 15, 2004, practitioner Mr. Tan Xianfu was arrested in the Panyu District, Guangzhou Province. It was previously reported that he was detained in the Panyu District, which is incorrect. Mr. Tan was actually sentenced to four years of imprisonment and was detained at Sihui City's Forced Labor Center in Guangdong Province.
17. [Sendazhou City, Sichuan Province] Dazhu County National Security Bureau Personnel Persecute Practitioners
In order to destroy Falun Dafa and persecute practitioners as well as practitioners' families, persons from the National Security Bureau in Dazhu County, Sendazhou City have monitored more than 600 people's telephones including practitioners, their relatives and non-practitioners.
After investigating, it was learned that the practitioner currently detained at the bureau is Ms. Lei Hong. On August 21, 2004, Qin Jiawen, the Tongzhou District National Security Team chief and policemen from Dazhou City's National Security Bureau arrested her from home. The arrest was ordered by Yan Yonghe, the Dazhou City Party Committee head and Li Xiangzhi, the mayor. Currently, Lei Hong is still being detained at the Tongzhou District Detention Center.
