Facts of the Persecution

Ms. Zhang Liangui, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Tai-an City, Shandong Province, went to Beijing to validate the Fa at the beginning of 2001, and was taken away by police. She was sentenced to two years in the Provincial Women's Labor Camp, and was released at the end of 2002. Her husband, also a Dafa practitioner, was seized from their home and brought to the Wangcun Labor Camp one night in October 2002. He was sentenced to a three-year term. In May 2003, she was arrested again while passing out truth-clarifying materials, and detained in the Tai-an City Detention Center for two months [truth-clarifying materials are flyers and other forms of media that expose the persecution of Falun Dafa and reveal the practice's true nature to the public]. Zhang went on hunger strike to protest and escaped from the evil's den. She was abducted again on January 8, 2004 while clarifying the truth at a fair, and is now detained in the Tai-an City Detention Center.

On December, 7, 2003 Xiongyue Town Police Station Director Wu Lihua of Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, instructed Police Substation Director Qi Baolai and local police to arrest Ms. Bai Fenglian, Ms. Li Fengzhen, Mr. Sun Zhicheng, Ms. Ning Li, Ms. Zhao Yingshu, and Ms. Jiang Guiqing, who are all Falun Dafa practitioners. The next day, Ms. Li Fengzhi passed out and experienced incontinence. Wu Lihua ignored the fact that her life was in danger, and still had her carried on top of a police vehicle and sent to the Yingkou Labor Camp. Ms. Jiang Guiqing refused to get down from the police vehicle, and Wu ordered four police officers drag her down. Ms. Jiang held a hunger strike to protest the illegal abduction. The police showed her no mercy, and sent guards to watch her closely. Ms. Zhao vomited blood after one week, and was then released and allowed to go home.
