(Clearwisdom.net) On October 25, 2003, a strange young girl came in my shop. She picked up some goods and handed me 300 yuan (Chinese currency). I discovered that 200 of her 300 yuan were counterfeit. She was very scared after I found out that she had tried to cheat me by using the counterfeit money. She then told me that her family was very poor, and that to support her family, she had chosen these deceptive means.
Although at first I wanted to report her to the police, Teacher's words came to my mind:
"Every person you come into contact with in society is someone to clarify the truth to, and what's manifest in clarifying the truth is Dafa disciples' mercy and their salvation of the world's people. Wasn't she someone to clarify the truth to about Falun Dafa? So, instead of reporting her to the police, I decided to help her change her heart through mercy. I told her that I was a Falun Gong practitioner and clarified the truth about Falun Gong to her. I then let her watch the Falun Gong facts VCD.
An hour later, she had learned the true facts about Falun Dafa and admired Dafa, Teacher and practitioners. She said to me, "What the government showed us on television was all fake! If I didn't watch the Falun Gong VCD, I never would have known the truth." I also persuaded her to stop cheating people from now on, explaining that good is rewarded with good and evil meets evil. She said, "I will remember what you have told me. I definitely will reform thoroughly. I will clarify the truth about Falun Gong to my friends, and will give them Falun Gong materials and ask them to read them." While saying so, tears flowed from her eyes. She bowed to me and said, "Thank you! Thank you very much!" I said, "If you want to be thankful, you should be thankful to Falun Dafa. If I didn't practice Falun Dafa, I am sure that I never could have treated you this way." She said, "I will remember this forever." Finally, I smiled.
Due to this experience, I realized what a great and powerful effect compassion can have on people. At the same time I thoroughly realized that we should lose no time in clarifying the facts about Dafa to people, and that we should not miss any opportunity to save these predestined people.
