Persecution Facts

In 2001, Dafa practitioner Ms Liu Suping from Wuqing County, Tianjin City was sent to Banqiao Female Labor Camp in Tianjin City to serve one year of forced labor. Because she refused to give up her belief, her term was extended twice, each time by six months. When the second extended term was about to expire, the guards didn't let her sleep for dozens of days, but she remained determined.

In early 2003, the original unit that handled her case took her away and sent her to a local detention center. She was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor and was sent back to Banqiao Female Labor Camp, where she suffered cruel torture, both mentally and physically. The collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have turned against Dafa due to torture and brainwashing] took turns bombarding her with Dafa-slandering fallacies. They beat her and forced her to stand up for days on end; they tortured her with the method called "Riding an airplane" [The head is bent down until it cannot go down any further, while the hands are pulled up and held up to the highest point. One is forced to keep this position unchanged for a long time. The body in this position looks like the shape of an airplane, and that is why the torture is so named.] They deprived her of sleep, force-fed her and forced her to do slave labor. After several months of insidious torture and force-feeding she showed symptoms of a mental collapse.

Guangzhou City "Legal School" is in fact a brainwashing class where violence is used to "transform" Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners are under watch 24 hours a day. The persecutors force them to watch and listen to Dafa-slandering videotapes and audiocassettes round the clock. They set up secret torture chambers and tortured practitioners one by one. For example, practitioners were forced to stand for ten or even more than 20 days at a time; some practitioners had their feet tied together and their hands tied behind their back and were forced to stand for a long time with their back bent over; some practitioners were tied with their legs double-crossed and were not allowed to sleep; the persecutors burned practitioners ¡®backs and their soles with cigarettes and lighters, and stabbed their lower back area and soles with needles. The tortures left patches of scars on practitioners' bodies. Those who held a hunger strike to protest the persecution were force-fed.

The lawless officials from Donggangtou Village, Shijiazhuang City slandered Dafa in Dongxing Newspaper, owned by the village Party Committee. In February 2000, Wang Jianbin (male), an official from the village Security Committee led police officers from Yuhua Road Police Station to the home of Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Wenjing and ransacked it. The police instructor tried to steal Zhang Wenjing's bank deposit book, but Zhang's family firmly resisted such criminal behavior.

In April 2002, Wang Jianbin, Wang Xiujie (male), Wang Yonghe (male) from the village Security Committee abducted Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Xiushu and sent him to a brainwashing class for 100 days. In December 2002, Wang Jianbin and other police officers illegally sent Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuying to Shijiazhuang Labor Camp for two years of forced labor. The lawless village officials also harassed practitioner Ms. Lu Shuzhen numerous times at her home and tried to abduct her and send her to a brainwashing class. Lu Shuzhen was forced into homelessness. They also forced more than 20 Falun Gong practitioners in the village to write "guarantee statements" to give up Dafa practice.

Li Hangzhou and Su Yijie, two male guards at the No. 2 Labor Camp in Shenzhen City tortured Falun Gong practitioners fiendishly on orders from the "610 Office" and labor camp authorities. They ordered collaborators to write "criticisms" of Dafa and tried to force practitioners to do things that would damage Dafa's reputation. The guards ordered inmates, including drug addicts, thieves and porn dealers to watch Falun Gong practitioners around the clock and would not allow them to do Dafa exercises. Practitioners were forced to watch Dafa-slandering videos daily. Practitioners were not allowed to lie down to sleep, and were forced to stand for a long time while being tied up with a rope. They also forced people who had given up their belief under pressure to be videotaped to deceive the public.

The police officers in Qingyuan County, Fushun City beat Dafa practitioners savagely. Practitioner Ms. Yu Xiaomei was beaten many times. She lost a tooth and the flesh on the inside of her cheeks was lacerated. The beatings broke her collarbone and the right shoulder blade, and the pain was so severe that she could not sleep for more than ten days and could not take care of herself.

At the Dispatch Division in the Daxing Labor Camp in Beijing, male guards put electric batons inside female practitioners' vaginas and shocked them. Ms. Hou Liwei lost consciousness and Ms. Ma Ronghong was tied to a bed for nearly three months. She developed skin ulcers on several places of her body. Four people took turns monitoring her and didn't allow her to sleep. Ms. Ren Meimei was shocked with electric batons numerous times until she was near death.

Upon my arrival at the Xinan Labor Camp in Beijing, several people surrounded me, and tried to force me to "transform". If I refused, they would deprive me of any sleep. Guard Cheng Cui'e (female) forced us to run from the second floor to the training field in two minutes. A 68-year-old female practitioner named Chen Yushu suffered a lot as a result; her blood pressure rose and she suffered from irregular heartbeat. She passed out several times. Practitioners were also shocked with electric batons and were forced to do slave labor.
