The Facts of the Persecution

On March 31, Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp of Jiutai City opened their brainwashing sessions. They used electronic batons to shock the Falun Dafa practitioners who remained firm to their beliefs. They also pressured and encouraged other inmates to abuse the practitioners. On May 13, six Falun Dafa practitioners walked out of the forced labor camp. However, they were caught and sent back to the camp where they were locked in small cells. A policeman stripped a practitioner, Mr. Wang Yunliang. The policeman used handcuffs to spread his limbs wide in order for several policemen to shock Mr. Wang repeatedly with electric batons. The damage was inflicted all over his body, even on his lips and his most tender parts. On May 14, the police delivered another onslaught of brainwashing upon the Falun Dafa practitioners in the No.4 Brigade. As a result, Mr. Wang Zhongfu suffered a severe, splintered fracture.

Weiningying Forced Labor Camp of Benxi City, Liaoning Province organized several brainwashing sessions, in conjunction with the local "610 Office". These sessions brought terrible abuse for Falun Dafa practitioners, both mentally and physically. Over 40 practitioners are still being held at this camp. Labor Camp staff divided the practitioners into three categories so that the most severe brainwashing and torture would be inflicted upon the practitioners who were known to be the most steadfast. The classes were in a gradient as follows: the Strict Class, for the firm practitioners; the Ordinary Class, for those who compromised; and the Lenient Class, for those who have given up their practice under severe pressure and torture. The police forced the practitioners to watch videos that attacked and slandered Falun Dafa and Mr. Li Hongzhi. Practitioners were then forced to keep these awful lies in mind, as they were coerced into "creating" something from the slanderous material--they were forced to write articles defaming Falun Dafa. At the labor camp, practitioners were also forced to perform hard labor, reminiscent of the former ruler of China's order to "destroy them physically".

Practitioners who remained firm in their beliefs were made to endure "Confinement in a Solitary Compartment" and "The Big Hang Up". "Confinement in a Solitary Compartment" refers to locking up a single detainee in a solitary cell, which contains a basin and a pair of handcuffs. The basin is used both for face washing and for relieving oneself. One end of the handcuffs fastens the wrist and the other end attaches to the door railing. The handcuffs can be fastened onto the door railing at three different heights. In the highest position, the detainee has to extend his or her arm upward. The middle position is at waist level. In the lowest position, the detainee can sit on the ground. As for "The Big Hang Up", there are two forms of this torture: (1) With both hands cuffed behind the back and only toes touching the ground, one is hung by a rope that is tied to the metal window frames; (2) One hand of a practitioner is cuffed to one bunk bed and the other hand to another bed, and the two beds are pulled in the opposite directions. The pain is excruciating.

Seize the opportunity to clarify the truth. I realized--as soon as the thought "I want to clarify the truth" emerged, our benevolent Master would create all kinds of opportunities for us...

Once I had to accompany two business contacts in one day. As we moved along on our way, I asked myself, "How should I start?" All of a sudden, I thought about the Falun Dafa music. Although the two people were quite sleepy, they perked up when they heard the music. They said, "This is traditional Chinese music". I told them it was the music of Falun Gong. They became interested and we started to chat about it, from the health benefits to the lies by the Jiang's regime. When they were leaving, they asked, "No wonder you are so kind-hearted. Did your Master teach you to be like that?"

Once, two business contacts from Northern China came to my office. I knew that it was not easy for them to come. I said to myself, "Master Li, please help me. Please give me an opportunity to talk to them about Falun Gong." After a minute or two, one of them said, "I heard that some of our land in Northeastern China was given to Russia. Have you heard about it?" I replied, "It is 100 times the size of Taiwan," as I joined in their conversation, I turned the talk towards Falun Gong. The lady had tears in her eyes when she heard about the persecution. The gentleman, who is from Changchun, said that there used to be many people who practiced Falun Gong in the city, and he added that the police are real bullies.

Sometimes when I was obligated to dine out with contacts, even before I thought about how to clarify the truth, people would already be talking about it. At these times, I could not help but think about how the knowing side of people craves the truth.

Master Li has brought the people with predestined relationships to us and even created the opportunity to talk about the facts of Falun Gong. As Falun Dafa practitioners, we should never let up.
