Facts of the Persecution

Recently, a gang of villains led by Zhang Zhiyong made up of police and "610 Officers"* in Liangshan County, Shandong Province, unlawfully arrested more than ten elderly Falun Dafa practitioners, threatened their family members, and extorted several hundred thousand Yuan** from them.

The following paragraphs are excerpts from the article "Name List of Persons Who Joined the Persecution in Hengshui Prefecture and Jizhou City, Hebei Province, and Facts about the Persecution."

--Falun Dafa practitioners Huang Liying and Xiaoai from Zaoqiang County, Hengshui Prefecture were arrested by police while they were posting Falun Dafa banners. Later, county police ransacked the homes of Liu Bingyan and Hui Xinnu. These four practitioners are being illegally detained in Zaoqiang, Jizhou, and Gucheng Detention Center separately. Perpetrators' names: Police Deputy Yi Zhongchang, State Security Team Leader Ma Jinli.

--The following is a partial name list of people who have been involved in the persecution in Zaoqiang County, Hengshui Prefecture, Hebei Province (Police Station office phone, 86-318-822-4312): Yi Zhongchang, Ma Jinli, Liu Wenchen, Zhang Xitan, Yao Baokun, Li Shuqin, Qiu Xinsheng, Deng Huaiyi, Zhang Jianguo, Ma Guangsen, Han Wenke, Dong Xingyuan, Zhang Zhongmin, Li Fangzheng, Lu Hongsheng, Niu Zebin, Wang Hongchen, Su Xigua, Zhang Zhongliang.

--On August 29, 2003, State Security Team Leader of Jizhou City Zhao Guosheng and a person by the name Hou stormed Falun Dafa practitioner Qi Huarong's home in Jizhou High School with a group of police. They tried to take this practitioner a away. Qi Huarong escaped using his wisdom, and has now become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being unlawfully abducted from his home. Zhao Guosheng said while in Qi's home, "We have no reservations when it comes to [violating the law in order to deal with] Falun Gong practitioners." He is very vicious, and has tried to earn a promotion by persecuting Falun Gong.

--The following is a partial name list (including offices) of people who have been involved in the persecution in Jizhou City: Party Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary Chen Dengquan; Former Xuzhuang Police Substation Director Gao Shufan; Police officer Guo Shungnian; Town Party Secretary Li Yinghao; Nanwuchun Township, Yi Shushen; Former Xiaozhai Township Substation Director Guo Quanli; Party Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary Han Kuijie and Li Xijiu; Vice Secretary Wang Zhenxia; "610 Office" Director Liu Lishen; "610 Officer" Li Gang; Vice President of the Women's Association Xu Xiangdong; State Security Team (used to be Political Security Office) Leader Zhao Guosheng, Hou XX, court house, Guo Wuying and Liu Jinsheng; Procuratorate Zhang Guibin.

The Following is an excerpt from the article "Continue to Diligently Validate the Fa with Righteous Thoughts and the Wisdom that Dafa Gave Us."

As Dafa cultivators, we should cultivate the greatest compassion, and with the wisdom that Dafa gave to us harmonize the Fa in the human world. While spreading Dafa in Chinatown, we thought we would do some Chinese calligraphy so that people would have a positive impression of us. We prepared stationary that has Dafa information on it, and then upon request we write people's names in Chinese on it. Westerners pay special attention to children, so we prepared a lotus seal to stamp on the back of their little hands and their name paper. We have been very well received. There are always many tourists from many countries who gather in front of our table. While they are waiting for their names to be written, we clarify the truth to them. Once they hear the truth, they sign their names on our petition form without any hesitation. Every Sunday, there are at least 300 to 500 people, and even as many as 1,000 people who leave us with a name paper.

An RFA (Radio Free Asia) report: German President Rau, who is currently visiting China, wrote to a Falun Dafa practitioner before going. He said that based upon the facts surrounding the persecution of Falun Gong in China, he would emphasize calling for the Chinese government to respect human rights, and stop the persecution. The reply letter said, "The President has already learned about two ladies who are being persecuted Xiong Wei and Xu Youlin, and has promised that he will call for their releases. The letter said that the President will not only raise these issues continuously when meeting with top Chinese officials, but also in his speeches at Qinghua University and Nanjing University.

*"610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
