Facts of the Persecution

On April 26, 2003, Ms. Chen Yanyu, a Dafa practitioner from Chengde City, was transferred to the Taihang Prison after a 6 month long hunger strike. The police forced her to attend brainwashing sessions, deprived her of sleep, and tortured her by beating and verbally abusing her. Chen's mental health was badly damaged. In the brainwashing center, another practitioner Ms. Zhou Yu was not allowed to sleep and eventually tortured to death.

Practitioners' Stories

1) The experience of a female practitioner in her 60's who walked out of the detention center with strong righteous thoughts:

One day in July 2003, the Dafa practitioner was reported to police when she was posting truth-clarifying materials on the street, and she was arrested and sent to a police station. She refused to tell the police where the materials came from, and was thus handcuffed to a tree. On the second day the police sent her to a detention center, and she clarified the truth to whomever she saw, while keeping sending forth righteous thoughts. She was determined to walk out and validate Dafa. One day, she suddenly passed out, so they had to release her. Her son came home to visit her, and was shocked to learn that his mother was maltreated. He instantly went back to the police station with his mother and a video camera, and questioned the policemen responsible.

2) "I will practice as long as I am alive."

I was in poor health from childhood and suffered from a lot of illnesses. In order to find a cure, I visited doctors in many places, but all my effort was in vain. When I felt that there was nowhere to go, I read the book Zhuan Falun while weeping. I finished reading the book without stopping, and after one month of practicing the exercises and studying the book, I changed into a very healthy person.

On July 20, 1999, Jiang's regime started to persecute Falun Gong, some practitioners were watching and waiting, and some practitioners became afraid. I, together with other firm practitioners, assured them that we should keep a righteous mind and righteous action, and "steadfastly cultivate Dafa, the will unflinching." (Cited from Essentials for Further Advancement II, "True Nature Revealed"). Once I was arrested, and the police asked if I still wanted to practice Falun Gong. I replied firmly, "I will practice as long as I am alive." Right now there are many people who are innocent victims of Jiang's propaganda and do not understand the truth, as Dafa practitioners we have the duty to save them. The time is very limited, and I feel the heavy responsibility on my shoulders.

News From Abroad

The "World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong" (WOIPFG) recently publicized the investigation report detailing the rape case of Wei Xingyan (female), a graduate student in Chongqing University. The report publicized the result from Baihelin Detention Center, Shapingba District's "610 Office" [The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created on June 10, 1999 to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems], Chongqing University, Southwest Politics And Legislation University, Southwest Hospital and other related entities. Evidence shows that Wei Xingyan is a graduate student in college of Electrical Engineering, Chongqing University, and that the case about her being raped by the police in Baihelin Detention Center is valid. The investigation also uncovered new fallacies in the staged "Tiananmen Square Self-Immolation."

News From China

In a certain village in Northeast China, there lives a peasant, whose house's back-wall faces a main road. A Dafa practitioner painted the Chinese characters for "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" on the wall. Once the county police substation, "610 office" and village head saw it, and they asked the owner to remove the three characters. The owner said, "Tell me which one of the three characters doesn't look good, even if they were painted inside my room, I would not take it down!"
