Nearly 150 people took part in a protest yesterday in Reykjav áin front of the 'Culture House' while Luo Gan had lunch there with Minister of Justice Bj?Bjarnason. There was also a large group of Chinese supporters who turned up to cheer with the Chinese flag [...] Representatives of Amnesty International believe that the second group had been organised by the Chinese Embassy to obscure the protestors from Luo Gan. Several individuals and associations have filed charges against Gan for his crimes against humanity. According to Bjarnason, the charges will be looked into by the Icelandic government. Dr. Li Shao is one of the people pressing charges. His sister-in-law was arrested and sent to prison camp without a trial, and endured severe torture. A journalist from the daily 'Morgunbladid', who asked Gan a question about human rights, was surrounded by Chinese security guards immediately and transported from the premises.
