"610 Office" Use Charles Li's Elderly Parents to Coerce Him to Give up Falun Gong
(Clearwisdom.net) July 20th report from Epoch Times: Ms. Yeong-ching Foo, the fiancée of U.S. citizen Charles Li learned through an U.S. consular official in China who had recently talked to Charles Li, that Li's situation in Nanjing City has worsened. Charles Li is holding a hunger strike. It was learned that to force Charles Li to give up Falun Gong, the Party would force his elderly parents to visit him in the Nanjing prison where he is being held. This is causing Charles Li great anguish.
Dafa Practitioner Ms. Xu Meiqing was Hung up and Beaten for More Than 10 Days in the Forced Labor Camp in Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia

Because she refused to give up her cultivation in Falun Dafa, Ms. Xu Meiqing was imprisoned in the Female Forced Labor Camp in Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia. In the summer of 2001, Xu Meiqing's elderly parents took Meiqing's son to visit her. Her parents' faces were full of tears when they saw her. Being a young child, Meiqing's son kept running and jumping on the stairway, up and down, without knowing his mother's situation. Meiqing's parents cried and said: "The child is not easy to take care of. He does not study hard. We are too old. What can we do if he is sick?" Xu Meiqing went forward and hugged her son. Her tears streamed down. Just because of her steadfast belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," Meiqing was imprisoned, suffered from torture, and was unable to take care of her elderly parents and young active child. Whose fault was it that her family experienced such persecution and hardship?
Shandong Province's Jinan Female Labor Camp Enslaved and Forced Brainwashing on More Than Two Hundred Dafa Practitioners
(Clearwisdom.net July 17) After the police sent Dafa practitioners into the First Jinan Female Labor Camp, they were dispatched to different divisions. At first the police personally tried to brainwash Dafa practitioners. If it did not work, they found some collaborators* to help. They usually assigned two collaborators to deal with one practitioner; sometimes three or four to one. Moreover, in one instance, six persons persecuted one practitioner in turn for several days and nights. If the practitioner did not yield, she was not allowed to contact anybody. If she didn't write the Guarantee Statement** she was not allowed to sleep before midnight. Some were persecuted till two or three o'clock in the morning, and they were awakened again around five o'clock. Some practitioners were persecuted so severely that they lost their clear thinking and wrote the guarantee statement under duress. They were forced to view videos and read books that slandered Dafa and thus caused them to crumble under intolerable pressure and renounce their belief.
