Arguments Arise from Attachments

There have often been a lot of arguments among practitioners. I think this is normal because it is a reflection that our uncultivated human thoughts, attachments and habits in everyday human society are exhibiting and functioning. The key point, however, is how to get it back onto the right track that the Fa requires.

Through years of cultivation, practitioners have been more mature, resourceful, and able, trying to do the best for the Fa. However, sometimes they are at odds with each other in some specific matters, and even went into deadlock in arguments.

Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.":

"So why do arguments happen? It's in fact exactly because that little bit of your not-yet-removed stuff at your human surface is at work. But when your righteous thoughts are strong enough it's powerless. You all know the Fa is good, that you should safeguard the Fa, that you have to do certain things, and that you have to go save sentient beings and validate the Fa, then when your righteous thoughts aren't up to par your human thoughts get mixed in. Then this makes you agitated like an ordinary person gets, and some people even feel like they've just got to insist on their own ideas, and this, combined with some other factors, has resulted in some situations that shouldn't happen among Dafa disciples."

My understanding is that Teacher doesn't look upon us as ordinary humans here. And what is the state of mind for gods? Teacher has told us, "It's tolerance, an extremely immense tolerance, being able to accept other beings, and being able to truly think from other beings' perspectives." I always feel that I can hardly catch up with the standard Teacher taught us in the Fa, so my initial motives in doing a lot of things are not so pure. Thus I must rectify it the best I can from time to time.

Doing Things with Reason, and Not Neglecting Cultivation of Xinxing in Work

The old forces do try to make use of any gap we might have to present the comprehensive and destructive test for Dafa disciples.

We cultivators live in the maze of everyday people's environment, usually being able to see nothing but the space of human beings, while those who are higher than human beings possess the abilities to know what we don't.

These higher beings can set up various situations for cultivators, affecting them through human impression, feeling, environment, and in all the directions from the microscopic to macroscopic worlds. They intentionally try to lead cultivators, changing them according to their will so as to achieve their purposes.

It is rather hard for our cultivators to perceive that so many kinds of beings are affecting us. The matters cultivators are involved in can be easily controlled and manipulated. Sometimes they might attack cultivators directly by making use of various rules of the cosmos.

Therefore, we Dafa practitioners must be cautious and walk every step well with reason.

Attaching Little to Loss and Gain

In the process of cultivation and Fa-validation, our fellow cultivators need to contact, coordinate and cooperate with each other, so the material interests such as money, facilities, and housing will be involved in these activities. There then arises the concern on quantities and qualities and, of course, on loss and gain. Although all of us are doing these things, different cultivators have different levels of mind and cultivation. A lot of problems and troubles, therefore, will arise. How do the higher beings look upon the material existence in this human world? To those who live in this dimension, the meaning and value of the material stuff are totally different from those higher beings; otherwise they would not struggle for it in this dimension. Because they can only see these things in this maze-like environment, human beings attach great importance to material interests, and can hardly give up what they possess willingly. We cultivators might get lost in this material world too, neglecting the fact we are cultivators. In spite of this, we are clear-minded sometimes.

A cultivator should not attach importance to loss and gain in the human world. But it is easy to say so and hard to genuinely understand and realize this point.
