A few days ago, Hu Xiaofeng was illegally abducted while she was at a bank. She had only been allowed to withdraw 200 Yuan [The average monthly income for urban workers in China is 500 Yuan] every month for living expenses. However, the person who was monitoring her was given a 1,000 Yuan-bonus. Her neighbors all feel indignant, and condemned Jiang's regime.

On May 17, 2003, while the Dafa practitioners in Zhuotian Town were studying the Fa together, they were illegally detained by the county's "610" officials* after being reported. Their whereabouts are still unknown. The thirteen detained Dafa practitioners include Huang Zhankui, Qiu Xiumei (female), Lai Wendi (female), Lan Mayu (female), Huang Xiuxiu (female), Lan Mateng, Dai Sanlian (female), Dai Dimei (female), Huang Yiyi (female), Xiangxiu (female), Guixiang (female), Shao Jin, and Wang Yi. Further information is still being investigated.
*The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political or judicial systems.

On May 13, World Falun Dafa Day, an eye-catching red banner with yellow characters reading, "Falun Dafa is Great," was flapping in the air along the roadside of Dongfeng Road, Baoding City's main street. People were attracted and carefully looked it over. It frightened the evil and spread justice. The banner with the words, "Falun Dafa is Great," was still there at 9:00 the next morning.

On the morning of May 13, 2003, after breaking through layer after layer of interference, Dafa practitioners in an area in Hubei Province arrived at the Fa conference hall one after another, and successfully held another Fa conference. The practitioners, one by one, pressed their palms together in respect and greeting to Teacher and wished him a happy birthday. Before the Fa conference, practitioners studied the Fa. Then each practitioner, with tears in their eyes, were grateful to Teacher for the salvation he has compassionately offered, expressed their determination in doing the three things well in validating Dafa, and taking the last step well. Ouyang Yun is a 58-year-old English teacher and she is currently being held in the Wujiashan Erzhigou Female Detention Center. Because of the cruel persecution she has been subjected to, she has become mentally traumatized and her life is in danger.

Zhao Xiaoming is the head of the Nuerhe Township Police Station. Since early May 2003, he has closely adhered to the orders of Jiang's regime and abducted Dafa practitioners.
