I am a young Dafa disciple. Both my parents are determined Dafa practitioners. My father is a well-respected middle school teacher, but is out of a job simply for not renouncing his belief in "Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance."

One evening in April 2001, a gang of policemen came to our home; they wanted my father to go with them. My mother would not allow them to take father away, so we did not open the door. The police kicked at the door hard. When my mother looked around, she found a policeman had broken in the back door! The policeman then rummaged through the house. My father seized the opportunity and slipped away. Failing to find my father, the police attempted to take mother away. My mother faced them squarely, and resolutely would not go with them. The solemnity of Dafa scared the evil. The police left in a hurry.

I was not afraid throughout the whole episode. As a young Dafa disciple, I need to have righteous thoughts and righteous actions. There is nothing wrong with practicing "Truth, Compassion and Tolerance." I just do not understand why the police treat good people like this.

Several days later, the police kidnapped my father, and detained him for more than one year. Soon afterwards, they came to kidnap my mother. With no alternative, my mother had to leave home and has been unable to return since. One day, I finally had a chance to see my father, and I was very happy about that. However, when I saw him, I almost could not recognize him--he was pale and skinny. My father said he was very hungry. So my younger brother and I went and bought two bowls of noodles for him. My father wolfed them down in no time. I was saddened to see father's condition from the torture he received, with bruises all over his feet, I knew it was from beating by the police.

Our meeting was very short, and he asked me to be sure to study the Dafa books well. I understood what my father meant. I knew what to do. Without my parents around, I have to take on the family responsibility. My younger brother and I still go to school as usual, and we have a regular life. We are Dafa disciples, and we should have determination and endurance. We often encounter tribulations, but I know they are tests. My younger brother and I have never blamed our parents. I thank Dafa for letting me live in such a blessed and compassionate family.

Today, I give my account of how the police persecute Dafa disciples in the hope that those people who still do not know the truth can be saved. This is something I should do. In my journey, I will walk every step well with righteous thoughts and righteous actions.
