1. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners in Fuxin City, Illegally Sentenced from 7 to 13 Years in Jail

On September 18, 2002, a site producing Falun Dafa materials in Fuxin City was damaged by police, and the Dafa practitioners at the site were arrested. According to our sources these Dafa practitioners have now been secretly sentenced. Zhang Jie (female) was sentenced to 13 years, Cui Zhilin (male) to 11 years, a male Dafa practitioner named Lu was sentenced to 9 years, and Zhao Hua (male) was sentenced to 7 years in jail. For the moment, they are still being illegally held in the local detention center and have not yet been transferred to the jail.

2. [Nanpi County, Hebei Province] The Dire Situation of Dafa Practitioner Guo Xiurong and Her Family

On April 27, 2003, a female Dafa practitioner Guo Xiurong, who worked at Zhangqitun Elementary School in Zhangqitun Village, Baoguantun Town, Nanpi County in the Changzhou Area of Hebei Province, was arrested at home. Her husband, Liu Peisheng, had already been illegally sentenced to imprisonment for appealing to the government. No one knows whether he is still alive. Her 70-year-old mother and her young daughter were left unattended at home. We appeal to all right-minded people for help with their situation.

3. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] The "610 Office" in Dongshan District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province Is Still Persecuting Falun Dafa Practitioners

Several days ago, officials from the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] in Dongshan District, once again requested that some Dafa practitioners should collectively talk about the so-called "experience" [against Dafa]. Police from each police station asked practitioners to register, fill out forms, and sign a guarantee statement and the "agreement to accept re-education assistance". We learned that a similar situation also happened in another area in Guangzhou City. Dafa practitioners have all resisted the persecution.

4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Police in the Baiyun District Detention Center Plotted to Persecute a Teenage Girl who Distributed Falun Dafa Truth-clarifying Materials

Xie Hongying is a 16 year-old girl who had read some of the Dafa books, and knew that Falun Dafa is good. On April 12, 2002, she was illegally arrested when she distributed truth-clarifying flyers with a Dafa practitioner. She was held in the Baiyun District Detention Center in Guangzhou City. Two weeks later, that practitioner used his righteous thoughts to walk out of the detention center after going on a hunger strike to protest. However, because Hongying was young, the police wanted to take this opportunity to persecute her. They illegally refused to release her and forced her to sign a form against her will admitting to mistakes. The police lied about her age, pretending that she was already 18 years old, so that they could escalate the persecution, and threaten other Dafa practitioners.

5. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Tianhe Brainwashing Class in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province Harasses Falun Dafa Practitioners

The Tianhe Brainwashing Class in Guangzhou is located in the Tangdong Area on Guangyuan East Road in Guangzhou City, behind the old building of the Guangzhou Fertilizer Plant. The "610 Office" claimed that they have spent 3 million Yuan building a new three-story new building, with more than ten rooms. Each room is air conditioned with its own bathroom so that Dafa practitioners can be separated for individual persecution. In order to continuously monitor the practitioners, the bathrooms have no door. The brainwashing classes started in September 2002. The "610 Office" forced each work unit in Tianhe District to send the Dafa practitioners, who had not written a 'Guarantee letter', to the Brainwashing Class. Even the retired people were not excluded. The "610 Office" extorted a lot of money, and forced the work units, Neighborhood Community Committees and Dafa practitioners to share the fees. The "610 Office" hired the unemployed people of the Guangzhou Fertilizer Plant and unemployed people from other areas to monitor Dafa practitioners and paid each person 10 Yuan per day. So far, this Brainwashing Class has persecuted several groups of Dafa practitioners. An elderly woman Zhang Ning has been held since last September. Currently, five other Dafa practitioners are being held in the Brainwashing Class. Most of them were arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials.

6. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Former Head of Huanan Agricultural University Assistant Center, Zhu Yuhong, and Her Husband Tian Huiwen, Are Illegally Detained and Persecuted

Zhu Yuhong was illegally sentenced to 13 years in jail, and has been held in the Tianhe District Detention Center. During the past two months, she was subjected to cruel persecution. She was put in shackles two months ago. Her family members have not been allowed to visit her. The police refused to give her family any information about her situation. Her husband Tian Huiwen was illegally sentenced to 4 years in Sihui Prison in Guangdong while the material site was damaged.

7. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Cases of Persecution Against Falun Dafa Practitioners

Thirty-two year old Zhang Ming, Male, was reported to the police in 2001, because he clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to people. He was then illegally sentenced to two years in a forced labor re-education camp. His punishment was illegally extended twice, a half-a-year at a time because he refused to give up the belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance and he has not yet been released.

In mid March of 2003, she was arrested by police from 27th District because she distributed Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. Her whereabouts have been unknown ever since.

On March 20, 2003, Hua Feng was illegally arrested by the director of the Security Section of the West Development District Police Department in Zhengzhou City, Shang Shouyu, and two other policemen. He was illegally sentenced to one and a half years of re-education in a forced labor, and is currently being held in the Baimiao Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou. According to an investigation, policemen Wang Jikui and Zheng Xi'an illegally interrogated Hua Feng. Two other Dafa practitioners, Sun Haojie and Tian Haishun (from Hebi), were also illegally arrested at their place of residence not long before Hua Feng was arrested. This then led to Hua Feng's arrest.

8. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Name List of Persecuted Dafa Practitioners in Kaifeng City's Forced Labor Camp

Han Yuxiang resides in Fanta North Street #70 in Kaifeng City;

Ma Yongheng resides in Caomen Guanzhong Street # 44-2;

Wang Kaibo resides in Employers' Residential Area of Nanwenzhuang Highway Bureau;

Li Ying, the 1st class Police Officer of No. 1 Prison in Kaifeng City;

Wu Guangcheng, former Party Committee Secretary of the Old City Reconstruction and Housing Development Company. He was arrested for the second time after having been released, and was illegally sentenced to one year of re-education through forced labor;

Deng Jieshi was arrested for the second time after having been released, and was illegally sentenced to imprisonment;

Si Hanwei was put under tight surveillance because he persisted in practicing Falun Gong. His family members were not allowed to visit his residence;

Other Dafa practitioners being persecuted include: Yang Yong, Yan Shijun, Liu Qijin, Dong Zhifu, Zhang Zhagen, Pan Jiaquan, Liu Qiufeng, Zhu Guangjiu, Cui Jian'gao and Li Yixing;

Qi County in Kaifeng: Geng Hongmin, Zhao Zemin, Song Jiaxing and Liu Zhiquan;

Xiangcheng County: Wang Jun and Feng Lei. After being released from a forced labor camp, they are now being illegally held in the County's Detention Center for further persecution;

Taikang County: Deng Quanzhong and Ma Xiangdong. After being released from a forced labor camp, they are now being illegally held in the County's Detention Center for further persecution.

9. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Dafa practitioner Chen Muying, from Xiantao City, Is Illegally Detained in the Wuhan No. 1 Detention Center

It has been reported that in late April Chen Muyin (female) was secretly arrested by the police and is suffering persecution. She was later sent to the Wuhan No. 1 Detention Center. Her present situation is not known.

10. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Baoding Labor Camp Sent Practitioners Bai Yun, Tang Guihong and Li Jingling to the Gaoyang Labor Camp

Three Falun Dafa practitioners, including the Chief of the Xiong County Prosecution Department, Bai Yun (female, 61 years old), an employee of China Bank, Baoding Yonghua Road Branch (Tang Guihong, female, 40 years old) and Anxin County resident Li Jinling (female) have been illegally detained in the Baoding Forced Labor Camp for a long time. They have never yielded to the evil, and the police have used up all their tricks to get them to give up practicing Falun Dafa. Therefore the police have sent the three practitioners to the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp to aggravate the persecution against them.

11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Former Professor of Dalian Railway College, Wang Yunpian, Is Illegally Detained in the Yaojia Detention Center

Wang Yunpian, female, 69 years old, is a former associate professor of the Dalian Railway College. In early November of 2002, she was taken away by police from the Shahekou Police Station while she was reading Dafa books at home. Later, the police searched and found several letters that Wang Yunpian had written to her friends and relatives to spread Dafa. The police charged her with writing more than 300 letters, and illegally arrested him. At the illegal trial on April 9, 2003 Ms. Wang did not confess to the false accusations, so the court could not sentence her. However, the police still did not release her. Wang Yunpian is currently detained in the Dalian Yaojia Detention Center.

12. [Daying County, Sichuan Province] Police and 610 Office Illegally Arrest Dafa Practitioners

On April 25 and 26 of 2003, police officers from Xiangshan Town illegally arrested two practitioners. On May 8 they illegally arrested eight practitioners and are brutally persecuting them.

On April 25, 2003, Dafa practitioner Luo Qiongying was taken away by staff of the local 610 Office. There was nobody else at home when Ms. Luo was arrested, and her whereabouts are unknown. Dafa practitioners Tang Guangying and Pan Yu were arrested by police from Hebian Town on May 9, 2003.

13. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Are Arrested

Li Juan (female) and Mrs. Zhou are both 60 years old. They were arrested by Heping area police because of posting truth-clarification materials during the May 1 Labor Festival. They are currently detained in the local detention center. The police searched their homes and extorted 800 Yuan in cash from their families [500 Yuan is equal to the average monthly salary of an urban worker].

14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Zhangshi Reform Center Brainwashing Class Tortures Dafa Practitioners

The "Law Education School" in the Zhangshi Reform Center is actually a brainwashing class where torture is used to try to break steadfast Dafa practitioners. The following practitioners have been held in the brainwashing class:

• Zhang Jie, female, 48 years old, was detained for half a year in Dalian. Because she is firm in her belief in Dafa and did not cooperate with the evil, she was transferred to the Zhangshi Reform Center where she suffered further persecution. She was tortured with sleep deprivation and other physical punishment.
• Zhang Guijun, female, 32 years old, was thrown into the Zhangshi Reform Center brainwashing class and held there for more than 10 days. She is currently on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention and is suffering from force-feeding.
• Zhang Zhuyu, female, 32 years old, was severely beaten and has lost the ability to walk. She now has to have others support her to walk, and she is very weak.
• Chen Fu, 32 years old, an employee of a metal processing factory.
• Zu Liming.

The above five Dafa practitioners are very steadfast. Former practitioners who have been transformed by brainwashing and torture are being used by the police to persecute these steadfast practitioners. Eight to nine people surround one practitioner and beat and punish them in turn. They also subject Dafa practitioners to sleep deprivation 24 hours a day.

15. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] A Warning to Dafa practitioners in Heilongjiang Province: Please Be Careful for Your Safety

Recently we have heard that several practitioners in the Chengfeng and Longnan areas were arrested, including Li Baozhu, Zuo Guoqing, Bai Xuchang, Li Yi and Shi Baomin (he managed to escape from the police but now has been forced to become homeless in order to avoid being arrested again). Among these practitioners, some were away from home when arrested, and some were taken from their homes. It is reported that police from the Heilongjiang Police Department recently came to Daqing to participate in the persecution.

16. [Northern China] Dafa practitioners in Northern China Successfully Hold a Fa Conference

In order to welcome the coming of World Falun Dafa Day, practitioners in a city in Northern China successfully held a solemn Fa Conference. During the conference, practitioners gave experience-sharing speeches, and the communication has had a very good effect on how to study the Fa better, how to save the world's people more effectively, and how to assist Teacher to do Fa-rectification more steadily and wisely.

17. [Zhejiang Province] Dafa Practitioners in Zhejiang Province Successfully Hold a Fa Conference

In late March, 2003, practitioners from Zhejiang broke through the high-pressure blockade and interference of the evil, and convened a Fa Conference. The conference began with sending forth righteous thoughts collectively. Practitioners exchanged their experiences in coordinating with each other and in improving together as a whole body. Some practitioners reviewed their cultivation in Fa-rectification and talked about their improvements and deficiencies. Some practitioners resolved any confusion in understanding the Fa through exchanging ideas and deepening their understanding of Fa-rectification and enlightenment to the Fa. All participants talked about their understanding, experiences and lessons about how to safeguard the Fa better, and how to rectify the Fa and clarify the truth to save people in this present situation. They formed a clearer, more rational and mature common understanding, and see more clearly our future as Fa-rectification disciples. The Fa Conference lasted five hours and finished successfully with sending forth righteous thoughts.
