In December 2002, my father was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. The first thought that occurred to me was, "I should have told them the facts about Falun Gong earlier." Before, I had fears when clarifying the truth to my parents, so the result was not very good. Sometimes my parents, especially my father, would even say some disrespectful things about Dafa. My father's illness was a wake-up call! I phoned them and told them not to say a single word against Dafa. They agreed, and my father even apologized to me. I tried to tell them some principles surrounding Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, urged my father to be a good person and to maintain a positive outlook. My father said that he would never get mad again. Yesterday evening I phoned my parents in China and they gave me good news, that my father's lung has completely recovered and it hasn't shown any abnormality. The doctors called it a miracle. I said to my parents, "First, thank Master Li and Falun Gong." They agreed. Now, I no longer hesitate when clarifying the truth.

Facts of the Persecution

In the early morning of May 15, 2003, Wang Limin, deputy chief of Suizhong County's Police Department and Wang Fuchen, politics and security section head, led a large group of police officers to surround practitioner Han Fuqin's home. After a day of stalemate, the police didn't achieve their goal of arresting Han Fuqin, so they arrested two passers-by who tried to speak to Han's family at the window. Even at the time of sending this article, some plainclothes police are still waiting outside Han's home. Only Han Fuqin, an elderly woman and a Dafa practitioner and her three daughters are home. Her oldest daughter, Li Xiaoyan, was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor because she wrote a letter of appeal. She was sent to the Masanjia Labor Camp and tortured until she was on the verge of death. Then she was released on bail for medical treatment.

Hebei Province has decided to gather all practitioners in two labor camps for persecution. Male practitioners will be sent to the Baoding City Labor Camp and female practitioners will be sent to the Gaoyang Labor Camp. On April 27, female practitioners Bai Yun, Li Jinling, Tang Guihong were transferred from Baoding City Labor Camp to the Gaoyang Labor Camp. At the same time, eight male practitioners were transferred to Baoding City Labor Camp from other labor camps in Hebei Province.

The tragic story of a young girl's life: My daughter Xiao Ling contracted epileptic encephalitis when she was sixteen years old. From then on, I took her everywhere to seek medical treatment. We were constantly on the road, and I had to give up the work on the farm. A doctor from a large hospital said that there was no cure for this disease. My child grew desperate and thought about suicide all the time. In 1997, we started to practice Falun Gong. Xiao Ling's illness gradually got better. During the four years of Dafa practice, she didn't take a single pill and didn't spend a single penny on medication. She again lived the life of a normal person. Laughter again filled my home. However, after the evil began persecuting Dafa, the police was afraid that we would appeal and watched us around the clock. In the morning of March 4, 2001, the police arrested us and sent us to the police station. Xiao Ling cried night and day, saying, "I want to live but they won't let me live." The police forced us to write guarantee statement. After we got home, Xiao Ling's condition worsened drastically, and she passed away at the age of 25.

Crimes in Fushan Town, Weicheng District, Weifang City, Shandong Province: After July 20, 1999, some practitioners who lived in Daliushu Town went to Beijing to validate Dafa and subsequently suffered brutal persecution from the township government. The practitioners were tortured and fined 500 Yuan* to 3,500 Yuan each. About 200 practitioners were fined.

*Yuan is the Chinese currency. The average monthly salary of an urban worker in China is 500 Yuan.
