Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiaoru was a 50-year-old woman from Handan City, Hebei Province. She used to work at the Handan Daily newspaper. In 2001, she was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution. On February 27, 2003, while distributing Dafa materials in Puyang City, Henan Province, she and another practitioner were reported to the police, who then arrested her. Officers from Daqing Street Station took them to Hualong District Police Department, then to Puyang City Police Department (Wang Haizhen and Zhang Xiaojiang in charge).These two practitioners were very firm, never give in during interrogation. Officers beat them and tortured them, tried to brainwash them by collaborators. Ms. Zhang died after falling from sixth floor of Puyang City Police Department building. The other practitioner's whereabouts remain unknown.
