Truth About Persecution

Vicious police officers Ren Guoqiang, He Xianglong, Ma Donghui and Liu Wei at the Baimiao Labor Camp in Zhenzhou City, Henan Province brutally torture Dafa practitioners and they often instigate prisoners to beat the practitioners. Practitioner Zhang Ming was continuously shocked with electric batons by the vicious police, which caused his head to ulcerate and bleed profusely.

Lin Tao from Zhaoyuan City "610 Office" in Shandong Province used brutal torture to extort confessions from Dafa practitioners. About 100 Dafa practitioners were sent to forced labor camps through Lin Tao's hands.

The vicious police at Jiamusi City Forced Labor Camp brutally tortured a dozen Dafa practitioners including Zuo Xiuyun and Wang Qingrong. Zuo Xiuyun was sent to a hospital for emergency treatment and practitioner Chuang Jing is in a critical condition. She is bedridden and her stomach is severely bloated. She is also bleeding constantly. Team leader Hong Wei and division chief Zhang Xiaodan claimed, "It's nothing if one or two Falun Gong practitioners die off."

Dafa practitioner Dong Shuyan from Mudanjiang City, Helongjiang Province was illegally detained and persecuted for a long time by people from the "610 Office." She wrote to Minghui Net to expose the evil. After her article [in Chinese] was published on March 5, Dong Shuyan was again arrested. Other practitioners including Liu Hongjuan were also illegally arrested. Practitioner Wang Ye was kidnapped twice and sent to a detention center. He (or she) was once illegally sentenced for two years of forced labor and now was again sentenced to three years of forced labor. Practitioner An Fenghua was arrested twice for going to Beijing to appeal. She was arrested the second time in May 2002 and was illegally sentenced to three years in jail. She is currently detained at Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Center.

Yu Guohua, former mayor of Panshi City in Jilin Province persecuted Falun Gong to earn political credit for himself after he was appointed mayor of Huadian City. He used a large amount of manpower, resources and money to arrest Dafa practitioners. Between June 1 to June 4, 2002, Dafa practitioners including Jin Yushan, Yu Cuifan, Wang Xiuyun, Wang Xiaohu, Ban Huijuan, Xu Guijun, Shao Ling were arrested and the Dafa materials sites were destroyed. In late November 2002, ten practitioners were arrested, two of whom escaped with righteous thoughts.

Driven by the possible award of a large sum of bonus money, the vicious police at Dunhua City Police Department, Jilin Province, brutally tortured Dafa practitioners. Because of the brutal beatings, some practitioners had concussions and vomited constantly; some were bruised all over and passed out many times. The police at the detention centers and police stations were even more vicious. They handcuffed and shackled the practitioners and fixed them on the "dead person's bed" [the practitioner's limbs are spread out and fixed on a hard bed and they cannot move] for a long time. The practitioners who were tortured this way often had a nervous breakdown and both of their legs were paralyzed.

Before the Chinese New Year of 2003, officers from Mengzhou City Police Department, Henan Province kidnapped and sent to a forced labor camp five or six Dafa practitioners, including Geng Huaming, Geng Juying and Zhao Yongzhong. On March 2, 2003, the thugs ransacked the homes of practitioners who lived in Dongxiachou Town and arrested eight practitioners that evening alone. Five of them are Xing Linge, Gong Yuzhen, Wu Aiyun, Xing Ting and Tang Keyu. The other three people arrested were the practitioners' family members because they tried to stop the vicious police from arresting the practitioners.

Li Jianguo, head of the administration division of Dabei No. 2 Jail in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province brutally tortured Dafa practitioners. They detained the practitioners in solitary confinement, force-fed them and allowed the prisoners to brutally torture Dafa practitioners. Dafa practitioner Wang Zhicheng was stripped naked and brutally beaten for 24 hours, which caused kidney failure and he was on the verge of death. Dafa practitioner Shi Jingsheng had a nervous breakdown from the torture.

The Truth and People's Heart

An elderly practitioner always tried to give truth clarification VCDs to people who had a VCD player at home to avoid waste. Once, he wanted to give a VCD to a vendor who sells steam buns, but he hesitated, for he didn't know if the vendor had a VCD player at home. His wife said, "Don't worry, if he gets the VCD, then he deserves it." Early next morning, this practitioner heard the vendor shouting in the street and asked who wanted to watch the VCD. A group of people surrounded him and fought for it. Someone said, "I have a VCD player at home." A group of people went to his home to watch it.

Li, a person in Heilongjiang Province, often kept Dafa books for Dafa practitioners after July 20, 1999. One day in 2000, a thief pried his door open but nothing was lost. People who knew it said, "This is a reward for protecting Dafa books!"

News from Abroad

Story of signature collection at Taipei National University of the Arts University: on February 24 the first day of school, not many students were at school. We started with clarifying the truth individually and then collected signatures. During one day, we visited the president of the university, institute of traditional arts, research center of traditional arts, the department of dance, and the girls' dormitory. The truth penetrated people's heart. The students usually expressed support and acknowledgement after learning a little about Dafa. Some people encouraged others to sign and support the effort.
