(Clearwisdom.net) Every practitioner of genuine cultivation is very busy nowadays. It is quite often that several Fa-rectification tasks are waiting to be handled. When a person gets busy, he tends to become panicky, which in turn will lead to troubles. The Chinese word of "busy" has the meanings of hurry and chaos.

We know the Chinese culture is passed down to humans from Gods. A simple Chinese character contains a lot of information. For instance, the Chinese character for "busy" is constructed by the character for "heart" on one side and "death" on the other. The character indicates that when a person gets "busy", his or her "heart" tends to become "dead". A man with a dead heart is inclined to get into trouble. The Chinese word for "hurry" depicts a picture of a messy wasteland blanketed with weeds.

We all understand that such kind of chaotic situation should not occur with practitioners. However, if we examine our own selves and the quick-tempered practitioners around us, we can find this situation has more or less happened to us unwittingly. In fact, this is the interference caused by humankind's postnatal concepts and karma. At present, they cannot impose large damage, but they succeed in making small troubles frequently. After recognizing this, we ought to strengthen our Main Consciousness and deliberately prevent this situation from happening.

How can we avoid having a "dead heart"? Master Li talks of remaining calm upon encountering tribulations. We need to maintain compassionate and peaceful minds even when we come across a crisis, not to mention when we are merely in the state of being busy in a peaceful environment. Not only should our hearts be tranquil when sitting in meditation, our hearts should also be calm and tranquil when we are facing a great amount of tasks. Just as Master said: "By having your heart unaffected you will be able to handle all situations". Essentials for Further Advancement II

To strengthen our ability to remain calm, the most crucial thing is to study the Fa every day and send forth the righteous thoughts frequently. That will ensure that our hearts remain in a compassionate and peaceful state at all times. By studying the Fa and sending righteous thought, the distracting notions in our minds can be eliminated. Only when the heart stays tranquil can we eliminate the ordinary state of intentional actions and showing off, which hide behind the mentality of achieving something. Our divine side can then bring its influence into full play. Otherwise, we will be busy at the same level as everyday people.
