Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Tongling from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province Tortured to Death in the Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Center (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Liu Tongling, 53 years old, lived in Chengsan Village of Rang District in Daqing City. She was a family member of a retiree from the Sanan Industrial Company, which is under the Venture Group of the Daqing Petroleum Administration Bureau. On September 12, 2003, she was taken to the Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Center and she immediately started a hunger strike. Within one month, on October 12, she died as a result of being tortured while in detention. Just two days before her death, she was still being forced to endure the iron chair torture. Upon examining the body, her family found she was bruised all over, with obvious electric shock burns near her heart.

Ms. Long Ying's Lumbar Vertebrae Broken by Authorities at the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Hunan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Long Ying is a Dafa disciple in Zhijiang County, Huaihua City, Hunan Province. On January 16, 2003, while posting signs reading "Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance" and "Falun Dafa is Good" at the Mang Power Plant in Zhiiang County, she was reported to the management there. Two staff members soon illegally took her into custody, handcuffed her to a window and later around a tree. They also beat her. Later that night, she was turned over to the county's "610 Office"* and they had the local police detain her in the Zhijiang County Detention center. She was later transferred to the County Detention Center on January 19. Because she refused to be forced to renounce her belief in Dafa, she was once again transferred to Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, on May 22.

Mr. Lin Yanqing, 34 years old, was originally a postdoctoral Engineering Mechanics student at the School of Architecture Engineering, Harbin Industrial University. He was the youngest post-doctoral fellow in the postdoctoral station. He began to cultivate Falun Dafa in 1996. After Jiang's regime started persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999, he was abducted several times and deprived of his postdoctoral title because he persisted in his belief and went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and tell the truth. He was sent back to his hometown of Quanzhou city, Fajian province, to live under surveillance for a year.
