Facts of the Persecution

The evil police in the fourth brigade of the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp used collaborators [Former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] and prisoners to cruelly persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. Several people were used to torture one Falun Dafa practitioner. They did not allow practitioners to sleep and viciously cursed at and insulted practitioners. They tried to make Falun Dafa practitioners say things that slander Teacher. If a practitioner refused, they would slap his face, pinch him and pull his ears. They also forced Falun Dafa practitioners to watch videos that slander Falun Dafa.

On September 16, Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Liu Chunlan and Ms. Yuan Junhong in Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province were reported on by evil people while distributing raising-awareness materials. They were abducted by the evil police. Later, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Xiurong was arrested at her work place and brought to the Tiedong Police Station, she was locked in an iron cage without any shoes. All three Falun Dafa practitioners' homes were ransacked. Now, all three of them are being illegally detained.

Zhang Zhijie, head of the No.1 brigade of the Shuanghe Forced Labor Camp in Qiqihar City forced Falun Gong practitioners to work with a toxic pesticide. People doing this kind of work have runny noses and watering eyes, and they develop edema on their faces and bodies. Some Falun Dafa practitioners are in very serious physical conditions such that they have difficulty breathing. Falun Gong practitioners who resisted their persecution, were put in small isolated rooms. Sometimes, electric batons and iron chairs were used to torture practitioners. Some practitioners suffered from mental collapse from the severity of the persecution. Some practitioners' mouths were stuffed with dirty things and sealed with adhesive tape. They did not allow practitioners to talk and put them into small dark rooms. Both hands of the practitioner were cuffed to iron rings affixed to the floor, so that they could not sit down, and were stuck in uncomfortable postures, which were very difficult to endure. Zhang Zhijie used all kinds of hard and soft tactics to trick determined practitioners.

On September 24, police from the vice squad of the Fuyu County Public Security Bureau and Sanchahe Town Police Station in Songyuan City, Jilin Province broke into the homes of local Falun Dafa practitioners and abducted Falun Dafa practitioners. Right now, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Luo Chunling is still being illegally detained in the Sanchahe Detention Center.

The thugs from the "610 office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] in Harbin City held a 40-day brainwashing class in the Shuangcheng Party school in order to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. The brainwashing class began in mid-August and ended in late September. More Falun Dafa practitioners were illegally detained in the brainwashing class. Every Falun Dafa practitioner was watched by two people from his or her work unit. The lawless thugs and collaborators continued to fill Falun Dafa practitioners' heads with all kinds of evil understandings in an attempt to brainwash them. Many Falun Dafa practitioners went on hunger strike to protest. Some practitioners' lives are now in danger.

Short Stories from a Singapore Tourist Site

A middle-aged Chinese tourist carefully read the raising-awareness materials. Shortly thereafter, this tourist said, "I think practicing Falun Gong is good for your health and for being a nice person. There is nothing wrong with it! Jiang is incompetent."

While practitioners were practicing the exercises, one of several young Chinese tourists waved their hands at us and shouted, "Keep it up Falun Gong! Keep it up Falun Gong!"

Several days ago at the practice site, a tourist saw our Falun Dafa raising-awareness picture show, and as he watched he asked questions. I patiently answered him, and then the tourist showed his understanding and said, "I don't admire anyone, I only admire your Teacher!" He repeated many times the sentence "I admire your Teacher."

A letter by Chinese woman Ms. Wang Yuzhi to judges and lawyers worldwide: I have been deprived of the basic right to speech, belief, and seek legal representation. I often wake up from nightmares. After witnessing such atrocities, the terrible, cruel torture and anguished cries for help still echo in my head. I cannot remain silent, I must pick up my pen, for my dignity as a human being, and for my fellow practitioners whose lives could be taken away at any moment. I must bring the murderer who caused this catastrophe to justice. Respected lawyers, from my experience, you can clearly see the crimes of Jiang Zemin. Please uphold justice for me and other innocent people.

On August 22, 2003, Falun Dafa practitioner Wu Xuelan (age 33) in Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province was sentenced to fifteen years of imprisonment by the Wudang District People's Court in Guiyang City on the so-called charges of "using xxx [slanderous words omitted] organization to hinder the law enforcement" and "sabotaging cable TV." Wu Xuelan drafted the appeal letter and appealed to the Intermediate People's Court in Guiyang City on August 30, 2003. In the appeal letter, Wu Xuelan emphasized two things: 1. Falun Dafa is good; 2. The evidence and charges are illegitimate.
