1. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] "610 Office" Is Plotting to Open a Brainwashing Session
Recently, the Mudanjiang City "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] has been plotting a brainwashing session for a new round of persecution against Dafa practitioners. This session also extends to the neighboring counties. Since the local Dafa practitioners have been clarifying the truth of Dafa to people, the units who have received the notice from the "610 Office" are reluctant to act. It is hard for the evil Jiang's regime to keep the persecution going.
On September 17, 2003, five Dafa practitioners from Zhangjiakou city delivered truth-clarifying flyers at Taipusi Qi (an administrative level), Xi Meng, Inner Mongolia but were reported to the authorities. Four of them were arrested and detained at the Taipusi Qi Detention Center. Details are not yet known.
On September 16, 2003, local officers illegally forced 20 Dafa practitioners from Bai Qi into brainwashing sessions. Each of them is isolated in a separate room to be brainwashed. Now they are going on a hunger strike and are force-fed by police officers. Details are currently unknown.
The Panjin City public Security Bureau is planning a large-scale arrest of Dafa practitioners. How the persecution will be executed is not known. There have been around 20 Dafa practitioners sent to the Fushun Brainwashing Session.
5. [Hebei Province] Four Dafa Practitioners Escape from Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp
On August 23, 2003, four Dafa practitioners escaped from the Fifth Brigade of the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp because of their righteous thoughts. They returned to the torrent of Fa-rectification.
6. [Bengbu City, Anhui Province] Dafa Practitioner Jiang Zhi Is Illegally Tried
Jiang Zhi and another Dafa practitioner from Hainan Province were illegally arrested on September 2002. On September 10, 2003, the Eastern District Court put them on trial but no verdict was made. The court said the verdict is to be made by the City Political and Judiciary Committee.

Zhang Tiansu, a retired teacher, went to Beijing twice to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. He was sent to the Yuantong Mental hospital in September 2001 by police officers at Xindu County and has been detained there to this day.
8. [Shouguang, Shandong Province] A Dafa Truth Material Station Is Destroyed by Police Officers
On the evening of September 16, 2003, a Dafa material production site at Shouguang was destroyed. Three Dafa practitioners were illegally arrested. Computers and printing materials were taken by police.
9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Brief News
Recently, wicked officers are searching for Dafa materials and tracking Dafa practitioners at long distance bus stations. Several Dafa practitioners have been illegally arrested.
According to a reliable source, the Yizhong Jail has planned to detain all determined Dafa practitioners, and place them in Group Four for intensive brainwashing.
11. [Dongfeng County, Jilin Province] News Brief
Around the "October 1st" Chinese National Day, local news broadcasted that anyone who visits Dafa practitioners who are on the blacklist will be put under surveillance. Various levels of government including townships, companies and street offices are ordered to take certain responsibilities, and to "be prepared in the long run for bigger achievements."
12. [Wuyi County, Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Li Xia Is Illegally Arrested
Ms. Li Xia, also called Li Aixia, is a villager from the Daliguan Village, Shenpo Township, Wuyi County. At 1:20 p.m. on July 29, 2003, Ma Shiwu, the head of the Wuyi Public Security Bureau, and Zhao Shifeng from the Political and Security Section, led 7 other police officers to break into the home of Li Xia from the roof of her house and arrested her. Now Li Xia is detained at the Gaoyang Women's Detention Center at Baoding City.

According to another source, Hengshui City is going to open a brainwashing session to persecute Dafa practitioners in the near future.
13. [Jilin Province] The Women's Forced Labor Camp Tortured Dafa Practitioners with Hard Labor
Ever since the first Dafa practitioners were detained here, they have been overloaded with hard labor. On extreme days, Dafa practitioners were forced to work 20 hours a day. Right now they are forced to work at least 11 hours a day. A task is assigned to everyone with no regard for their age. If the task is not done, then they are forced to work extra hours. To conceal the extra work hours, the lights in the corridors are turned off. Over 1/3 of the Dafa practitioners illegally detained here are over 50 years old. The oldest is 68 years old.
On August 27, 2003, some upper management came to the camp to investigate the situation. Police officers in the camp arranged "witnesses" to say that the daily work time in the camp is only about six hours.
Ms. Wang Xiuyun is 56 years old and from Qi County. On July 11, 2003, she was arrested by police officers from the Xinkou Police Station when she was delivering truth-clarifying materials and was detained at the Qi County Detention Center. She was sent to the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp on July 27, but the camp refused to take her because she did not pass their physical exam. However, the head of the Qi County Public Security Bureau offered to bribe the camp to accept Wang Xiyun. Now Wang is being detained at the Shibalihe Labor Camp with a one-year term.

15. [Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioners Are Brutally Tortured at the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp
Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp is a base to persecute Dafa practitioners in Hebei Province. Police officers torture Falun Gong practitioners by beating, burning with boiling water, tying down with ropes, suffocating by burying alive, handcuffing to a bed for a long time, shocking with 6 electric batons at the same time, not allowing sleep for extended periods, etc. Zang Haili, the head of the Fifth Brigade put snakes on female Dafa practitioners' necks and in their bras. Dafa practitioner Ms. Xu Yanxiang from Shen County was tortured severely. Her back was burned by electric shocks, causing the skin on her back to peel off. She was not able to sleep for a long time due to the pain. Dafa practitioner Li Aishen from Zaoqiang County, and Doctor Wu from Zhangjiakou City are also tortured here by police officers.
