"Nancy Chen Urgent Rescue Team" Established in Sydney

"Nancy Chen Urgent Rescue Team" was established in Sydney today. Australian citizen Nancy Chen, who went back to China to visit her family, was kidnapped two days ago in Sichuan Province. Her family members were unable to learn her whereabouts even after much effort. One of her non-practitioner friends went to check the place where Nancy made a phone call before she was kidnapped, but was detained for 24 hours. After release, this friend dared not mention anything. Nancy is now in a very urgent situation, and we call upon the Australian government and Australian people to help stop the illegal kidnapping of Australian citizen and free Nancy Chen.

(Clearwisdom.net) January 26, 2003 - Falun Gong practitioners and supporters in the Washington metropolitan area braved unseasonably cold temperatures to rally in front of the Myanmar Embassy on January 24. The Free Burma Coalition, Burma Fund, National Coalition Government of the Union of Burma, and Free Political Prisoners Campaign Committee - Burma (FPPCC) joined the Falun Dafa Practitioners Association in calling for the release of 71-year-old Chan Wing Yuen, a Falun Gong practitioner, who was detained in Myanmar more than a year ago. Mr. Chan is a permanent resident of Hong Kong. News of his arrest and detention is only now reaching the West.

We are shocked to learn that a 71-year-old Hong Kong resident who practices Falun Gong, Mr. CHAN Wing Yuen. He was arrested in Rangoon Myanmar and, was then secretly sentenced in prison on 1/31/2002 without legal representation or the presence of his family members. All that he did was to display a small-sized banner that read "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" in a street of Rangoon on Dec. 12, 2001, Myanmar. without All this happened due to the pressure on Myanmar government from the Chinese embassy in Rangoon.
