[Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Four Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Illegally Sentenced
On August 2, 2002, practitioners Wang Guixia (female), Lu ShuJun (female), Zhao Huimin, and Gu Wanxian from Jinzhou went to Yangjiazhangzi in Huludao City to distribute Dafa materials and were arrested and brought to Huludao Detention Center. They went on a hunger strike without water to protest the persecution. The police brutally forceful fed them. They secretly sentenced Wang Guixia to four years and the other three practitioners to three years. On December 11, the practitioners were sent to prison.

In November 2002, the officials at the Fourth Iron Institute and the institute's police station forcefully sent staff members including Fang Xinhua, Guan Yeqing, and Liu Mingrong to a brainwashing center at Hubei Province Law Enforcement Center in Miaoshan. We heard that they are sending more people to the brainwashing center. According to people coming out of the center, they used means including sleep deprivation to forcefully convert practitioners.

Since October 2002, Beijing police sent several evil police officers that brutally tortured Dafa practitioners, to the First Forced Labor Camp in the Town of Chini. The labor camp then escalated its persecution of Dafa practitioners. The police tied the hands and feet of firm practitioners and locked them in isolation cells. The cell has no window but a tiny toilet. They assigned two to four inmates to watch each practitioner so that the practitioners could not talk to each other. They threatened to tie and lock up the practitioners forever should the practitioners not give up practicing Falun Gong. They used vicious means to force the practitioners to compromise and to write statements.

At the end of October and the beginning of November 2002, Li County "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] and the local police arrested many Dafa practitioners. The plainclothes were all over the bus stations, streets, and around the practitioners' homes in order to arrest them and confiscated their homes. They sent the practitioners to the brainwashing center in either Zhuozhou or Baoding and extorted 5000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan] from each practitioner's family. They also sent some practitioners to the county's detention center. The police and the authorities from the practitioners' work units often harass the practitioners' families and have illegally stopped the practitioners' salaries. They are still detaining these practitioners.

Female police officer Xing incited the inmates to torture Falun Dafa practitioners by means including iron chairs and sleep deprivation in order to force the practitioners to give up practicing Falun Gong. They even tortured elder women over 60 years old.
[Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Illegally Detained and Sentenced
The police in Jiangmen illegally arrested and secretly sentenced some practitioners without informing their family members. The sentences for the practitioners are Guo Quhui eight years, Huang Fangmei four years, Zhang Xingmei five years, and A Hong three years. On November 5, 2002, these practitioners were sent to Shaoguan Female Forced Labor Camp.
Li Aiqu, the former assistant for Jiangmen City Falun Gong practice site, has been illegally detained at Guangdong Province Female Forced Labor Camp for two and half years (half a year passed her sentence). Yet she is still persists in Practicing Dafa. She resists the persecution by refusing to wear the inmate's uniform.

On the afternoon of December 4, 2002, Dafa practitioner Lin Zhonge, working at Erxianqiao Engine Factory, distributed VCDs containing the facts about Falun Dafa at the factory's school and was reported to the police by the students and school officials. At 10 a.m. on December 6, the police from Erxianqiao Police Station arrested her from her home.
Practitioner Xu Shicong from Chengdu Technical University and his sister-in-law (also a practitioner) went subsequently missing in December 2002. It is likely they were arrested.
The evil met retribution: Chen Jianggang, the Vice Director of Erxianqiao Police Station, suddenly died in 2001.
