To the People of China - A Few Words from a New Falun Dafa Practitioner in the USA

I am a citizen of the United States
Since April of 2002, I have also been a Falun Dafa practitioner
I first want to thank you as a culture
For preserving many wonderful elements from your past
These things were passed on throughout your history
And helped to provide an environment
For the spreading of Falun Dafa
There are many people from my country
Who are beginning to realize the beauty and the depth
Of the teachings of Falun Dafa
Not just practitioners, but everyday people
Beginning to understand the goodness
And the selfless principles
Of this practice

I write to you as from one human being to another
As a person who does not understand
What it means to be Chinese
But I do understand what it means
To be a Falun Dafa practitioner
And I understand how wrong it is
To persecute Falun Gong practitioners
Because what is carried in each of their hearts
Is carried in mine
And I cry when I see their faces
And hear their stories
These are good people

This is why I appeal to you
To help stop persecuting them
To change your hearts
And truly see the selflessness and sacrifice
Present in the hearts of Falun Dafa practitioners
To recognize this gift to all the world
From the people and the land
Of China
