[Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] The Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Liangpin County

For the past three years, Liangpin County has illegally detained Dafa practitioners more than 60 times and for as long as more than 10 months. Seven practitioners were illegally sentenced: Yang Xiufang, female, six years; Wu Jibi, female, four years; Ou Tianyu, female, four years; Luo Daiyong, male, five years; Zhu Yu, female, five years; Cheng Jiang, male, three years; and Huang Xiaohua, male, two years. About ten practitioners were sent to forced labor camps including Xu Xuan, Gu Liangyou, Yang Xiaoling (female), Zhang Ping, Qiu Chengshu, Peng Zhuoyu (female), Luo Xianliang, and Xu Youyan. Many practitioners were brutally beaten by the police from the "610 office," they include: Zheng Gaozhen (female), Huang Xiaohua, Xie Gongyou, and female practitioners from the town of Peiwen in Wanzhou district. (The 610 Office is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political or judicial systems.)

Since last winter, practitioners have distributed nearly 10,000 Dafa flyers and hung many banners in more than twenty towns. On July 7, 2002, three female practitioners, Jiang Anqiong, Wan Zhenxiu, and Peng Wanxiu, went to Dianjiang County to post Dafa banners and were illegally arrested. In mid July, the police forcefully searched practitioners' homes and illegally arrested five practitioners, Xu Jiahui (female), Quan Hongbi (female), Tan Zhuqiong (female), and Xie Gongyou for possessing Dafa and Clearwisdom articles. Currently, Liangping Detention Center is illegally detaining more than ten practitioners, including four practitioners from the town of Shian arrested in October 2001, and three practitioners from the town of Xinsheng arrested in April 2002.

[Jinan, Shandong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Yu Shouchen Is Arrested

Yu Shouchen, male, 26, a resident of Muping County, Yanda City, Shandong Province, a graduate from Shandong Chinese Traditional Medical University, was illegally arrested recently by the police and sent to the Jinan Law Enforcement Center.

[Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Speak Frankly at Sha District Brainwashing Center

At 10 a.m. on July 4, 2002, the Sha District Brainwashing Center held a "Farewell" meeting for those former practitioners who were brainwashed and had quit practicing Falun Gong. They took eleven firm practitioners there. The practitioners questioned the police and the people who were brainwashed, and exposed their persecution. Some practitioners started sending forth righteous thoughts. The brainwashed people blushed and could not speak. They had to leave the meeting after only twenty minutes.

[Hefei, Anhui Province] The Police Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioner Li Ning of Anhui Province Import and Export Machine Company

On the afternoon of July 31, 2002, police from the first section arrested practitioner Li Ning at his workplace in Anhui Province Import and Export Machine Company. The leaders in his company all knew that he was a good person but failed to keep him from the police. Currently, Li is being held at a detention center, where he was locked in a dark room for as long as a week.

Practitioner Sun Shudong was on probation because of a leg injury from a police beating at Nanhu Forced Labor Camp. The police arrested him again and locked him in a mental hospital, where he is still being persecuted.

[Tianshui, Gansu Province] The Police Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhao Lanzhou and Destroy a Dafa Materials Site

In the evening of September 13, 2002, the police arrested Zhao Lanzhou at the foot of a mountain in Shilipu, Tianshui City and closed a site for making Dafa materials. They confiscated a lot of equipment, including printers and CD writers.

We do not know the whereabouts of practitioners Yang (female) and Xiao Li. The police are still trying to kidnap Dafa practitioners in Shilipu.

Clearwisdom.net reported the persecution of Zhang Jiuhai and his family on August 18, 2002. The persecution is still going on. Zhang's father is currently illegally being detained at Pinggu District Detention Center.

[Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Dafa Practitioners Place More Than Ten Banners on the Front Wall of Jieyang Government Office Building

In August, Clearwisdom.net reported that two practitioners from Jieyang were persecuted to death. Practitioners printed more than ten banners with "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." The police have recently been arresting practitioners there. Mayor Lin Musheng and Ding Weibin ordered the police department to break the case before October's National Holiday.

[Jining, Shandong Province] The Police Continue to Commit Crimes After Murdering Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Chan

Jinan City police have been arresting practitioners since August. Practitioners Wang Chan, Yu Luping (female, worked in Liawu Steel Corporation) and Wang Yunxia were arrested at the same time. Wang Chan was tortured to death, but Wang Yunxia was able to escape. Another Dafa material site was destroyed and more than forty practitioners, including Wang Jiming, Duan Lianying (female), and Yue Lihua (female) were arrested illegally, which caused great damage to the truth-clarifying efforts. The police tried hard to block the truth about Wang Chan's death and are planning to thoroughly search some "suspicious" areas.

Currently, they have transferred Yu Luping to Laiwu City, where she is being illegally detained.

Recently, a 20-meter-long banner slandering Dafa was hung in front of Xiaguang Theater in Shijiazhuang City. On the dawn of August 31, Meng Qinggang took the banner down and was arrested by the police. He is now being detained at Shijiazhuang First Detention Center, room101.

[Anshun City, Guizhou Province] Four Female Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Arrested

Recently, four female practitioners including Tang Wenqian were arrested. Practitioner Wang Jiazhe, 74, was illegally sentenced to three years in Guizhou Province's Zhongba Forced labor Camp. After her early release, she went missing. We have since found out that she is now being detained at Anshun City's Heishitao Detention Center. This detention center is illegally detaining many practitioners, including Liu Qinying (female, who has been illegally detained for more than a year), Xiang Xiaoyan (female), and Jia Linan.

[Canhuang County, Hebei Province] Some Officials Are Still Committing Crimes

Ding Zengshun, Vice Party Secretary of the Canhuang County political and judiciary committee, Zhang Wanyin, Deputy Governor, Lu Guiping, a female police officer at the police department security section, and other people, hate Falun Dafa and have been persecuting Dafa and practitioners. Around 9 p.m. on September 3, 2002, Lu Guiping led several police officers to break into and search practitioner Guo Zhumei's home. Guo happened to be out and so avoided being arrested.

Around 9 a.m. on September 6, 2002, Lu again led some police officers and arrested practitioner Zao Xiujie from the school where he worked.

[Suihua, Heilongjiang Province] Suihua Forced Labor Camp Brutally Tortures Falun Dafa Practitioners

In the middle of February 2002, Xu Hongming, 17, a farmer from Jixian County, tore down a poster slandering Falun Gong from the wall of Suihua Forced Labor Camp. Four police officers including Ceng Linjun, the head of the middle squad and police officer Li Jian formed an interrogation team. They took Xu Hongming to a "small cell" and tortured him. Xu firmly said, "You are persecuting Dafa. That poster was full of deceit and slander. I just wanted to tear it down." The police brutally beat him and shocked his head with electric batons.

Police officer Gao Zhonghai beats and swears at Dafa practitioners. Practitioner Zhang Zhilin stopped his evil behavior and the police tortured him several times by various means, including locking him into a "small cell," tying him to a chair for long periods of time, punching, kicking, and shocking him.
