Practitioners Rally For Justice In Front of Chinese Consulate in Calgary, Canada

(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners in Calgary joined those in major cities across Canada this weekend for a nationwide rally for justice in Hong Kong. Practitioners are raising awareness of the so-called "trial" of Falun Gong practitioners currently underway in Hong Kong. Not only are the freedoms of sixteen Swiss and Hong Kong citizens being sacrificed to further Beijing's political agenda and extend the reach of Jiang Zemin's criminal persecution of Falun Gong to Hong Kong, but also at risk are the freedom of speech, freedom of belief and freedom of assembly for all Hong Kong citizens.

Local and national media were invited and the event was well attended by local practitioners. A broad display of banners and colorful picture boards were visible to the constant stream of automobiles and light-rail trains passing by the site. Thousands of people saw the very eye-catching display, and many in passing cars honked their horns and waved their hands in support of the peaceful appeal.

A very touching scene unfolded as practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts. A native man reverently approached the site, looking carefully into the peaceful faces of the assembled practitioners sitting in the lotus position with palms raised erect. He stood silently watching for a few minutes, clearly affected by the powerful energy field. He paid particular attention to one of the display boards showing pictures of several practitioners who have died from the persecution.

He stopped and stood solemnly, taking a small pouch from his pocket. He slowly unrolled the pouch, reached in, and removed a small amount of tobacco. He closed his eyes and held the tobacco in his hand, saying a silent prayer. A moment or so later, he wordlessly bent over and spread the tobacco as an offering in front of the pictures of the fallen practitioners and then stood up and quietly continued on his way. [Note. Many Indian Reservations surround the Calgary area. This type of practice, offering a prayer and a pinch of blessed tobacco, is a highly sacred spiritual ritual to native people across North America.]

A practitioner approached the man, offering him a brochure before he began his prayer. He kindly waved his hand no, but from his peaceful smile it was clear that his heart was filled with good thoughts about Dafa. It is our sincerest wish that people the world over will soon awaken to the truth of Falun Dafa as this man has.

People of Hong Kong, hear us! Wake up! What is happening in front of you this day is of paramount importance. Falun Gong practitioners around the world are appealing to you to stand up and protect justice in your land. Protect the right for your friends and neighbors to practice Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. Protect your rights to freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom of assembly. Do not allow Jiang Zemin and his crooked regime to interfere with the affairs of Hong Kong and strip away your rights. Falun Gong practitioners in Calgary and around the world will stand up with you. Please, look into your hearts and look closely at what is going on around you. Your decision will affect not only your future, but that of future generations, as well!
